The Research On Settlement Patterns Along The Great Wall Of Niangziguan Town

Niangziguan has a long history and traces of human life as early as the Neolithic period;Ancient settlements were formed during the Yin and Shang Dynasties;The Great Wall of Zhongshan was built during the Spring and Autumn Period;During the Qin and Han Dynasties,it evolved into a military fortress in the Jinci area;During the Tang and Song Dynasties,the status of military fortresses was significantly improved,and the military building system was gradually completed;After the Ming and Qing Dynasties,the military defense function further improved the construction facilities such as Guanyu,Great Wall and Plank Road.At the same time,the commerce and trade industry emerged and gradually became a trade and logistics hub of Jinji.The conditions for the formation of settlements along the Great Wall in Niangzi Town can be summarized into two types: The first type is a fixed settlement formed during the war in order to solve the life supply and related problems of the stationed soldiers;The second type is the trade and distribution center formed by trade and exchanges between the inside and outside of the Great Wall border during the peace period.On this basis,after the development and changes of the times,a unique settlement along the Great Wall has emerged.This paper firstly combs the background of the settlements along the Great Wall of the Niangziguan Town from three aspects: natural geographical environment,historical human environment and location traffic conditions,the factors affecting the formation and evolution of settlement patterns were analyzed.Then,from the three aspects of site selection,shape layout and space composition,the morphological characteristics of the settlement along the Great Wall in Niangziguan Town are analyzed.Then,the buildings along the Great Wall of the Niangziguan Town were analyzed.The buildings are classified into four types: military buildings,residential buildings,commercial buildings,and public buildings.Combs and analyzes the characteristics of each type of building.According to the decoration part,theme and design concept,the architectural decoration was appreciated and analyzed.Finally,it summarizes the main research conclusions and clarifies the value of the settlement along the Great Wall in Niangziguan Town.Settlement is the epitome of society,the most simple and most lively place.The development of settlements witnesses the changes of the times and carries the imprint of history.Niangziguan Town,a famous historical and cultural town in China,is located in Pingding County,Yangquan City,Shanxi Province.The settlement pattern along the Great Wall in the territory is preserved intact.It has a long history and maintains a complete pattern and style in the long history of the river.It also has a unique settlement form and rich local cultural heritage.
