Research On The Spirit Of South-to-North Water Diversion

In 1952,comrade Mao Zedong put forward the great idea of the South-to-North Water Diversion Project when he visited the Yellow River.After more than 60 years of planning,design and construction,the South-to-North Water Diversion Project has become one of the largest scale water conservancy project in human history to date.Great practice always breeds lofty spirit.The spirit of South-to-North Water Diversion is the spiritual civilization achievements of the Chinese Communist Party leading the Chinese people in the practice of the Great South-to-North Water Diversion Project.Its connotation is rich,and has great research value and practical value.This article is divided into four parts to study the spirit of South-to-North Water Diversion.Firstly,this paper studies the formation of the spirit of South-to-North Water Diversion,and mainly analyzes the four conditions affecting the formation of the spirit of South-to-North Water Diversion,including the practical basis and its three main cultural origin,and according to the development course of the spiritual connotation,the course of the formation of the spirit of South-to-North Water Diversion is divided into four stages.Secondly,this paper analyses connotation and features of the spirit of South-to-North Water Diversion,the rich connotation of the spirit of South-to-North Water Diversion is summarized in six aspects,and the three main features of the spirit of South-to-North Water Diversion that it is different from the other spirit are summed.Thirdly,this paper studies the times value of the spirit of South-to-North Water Diversion,and expounds the times value of the spirit of South-to-North Water Diversion from four aspects.Finally,this paper studies the promotion of the spirit of South-to-North Water Diversion,the main problems in the process of carrying forward and the basic ways to carry forward are studied.In general,the spirit of South-to-North Water Diversion has both practical and ideological origins.It is the result of the spiritual civilization created by the participants of South-to-North Water Diversion Project in the long practice process.It has rich connotations,distinctive features,and an extremely rich value of the times.At present,facing some problems in the process of carrying forward the spirit of South-to-North Water Diversion,we should take measures to carry forward the spirit of South-to-North Water Diversion.
