The South-to-North Water Diversion Project is a great project which has attracted worldwide attention. The water transfer line of the middle route project rises in Danjiangkou Reservoir Area. And its distance is very long, covers a large area of land and has a great influence, which let more than 160 thousand immigrants move away from their home town in Xichuan County Henan Province. The migration and resettlement of large amounts of immigrants is a complex and difficult system project. It can be said that immigration is the key to determine the success or failure of the middle route project of south to North Water Diversion project. This paper takes social psychological adaptation of immigrants as perspective.Through the method of questionnaire investigation and interview on the centralized resettlement of immigrants,we surveyed nearly 310 immigrants in Guangou village.Firstly, this paper describes the status of social psychological adaptation of immigrants from three aspects: the sense of belonging, satisfaction and confidence in the future development;Secondly, using factor analysis,Logistic regression analysis and other statistical methods from three aspects of the immigrants, government work, social power to explore the main factors affecting the social psychological adaptation of immigrants;Thirdly,we discuss the strategies of social psychological adaptation combining with the conclusions of the study; At last,we review the whole research process, point out the shortcomings of the research and the direction of further research. This study draws the following conclusions:(1)In general, the degree of satisfaction is relatively high, but the awareness rate of policy is low.And the immigrants rely heavily on government subsidies.(2)Most immigrants can adapt to the civil life in resettlement place, and they have strong sense of belonging.(3)The vast majority of immigrants can actively solve the difficulties in life, and they are confident to improve the living standards in the future. The study further analyzes the main factors that influence the social psychological adaptation of immigrants:(1)From the perspective of immigrants, there was an obvious negative correlation between the age and the number of family generations and the social psychological adaptation. There is an obvious positive correlation between the higher degree of education, the more communication with other immigrants or local residents, the better adaptability to social customs of resettlement place, the stronger confidence of the future development and the social psychological adaptation.(2)From the perspective of government work, there are three aspects that have significant influences on social psychological adaptation of immigrants, such as the satisfaction of the immigration policies, the satisfaction of production and life and the satisfaction of the public resources. If the degree of satisfaction in these three aspects is high, the social psychological adaptation of immigrants will be high.(3)From the perspective of social power, the sense of security of the living environment and the acceptance of the local residents has a positive correlation with the social psychological adaptation of immigrants. This paper discusses the strategies of social psychological adaptation:(1)The main role—Immigrants: Overcome dependence, improve their own ability to develop.(2)The leading role—Government: Give overall consideration, reasonably adjust work strategies of immigration.(3)The supporting role—social network: Improve the social support network and build a harmonious immigrant community.
