Accurate Identification Of The Needs Of The Elderly In Welfare Homes

With the increase of the elderly population and the development of social economy,the demand for elderly care services is constantly expanding and showing the characteristics of diversity and complexity.The contradiction between the growing demand for elderly care services and the unbalanced and inadequate supply of elderly care services is prominent.In this context,the pension issue has gradually become a hot topic of academic research and social attention.More and more attention has been paid to how to accurately identify diversified and multi-level elderly care needs and provide accurate elderly care services for the elderly.In recent years,A welfare institute in hangzhou has made some beneficial attempts in the accurate identification of pension needs.Taking A welfare home in hangzhou as an example,this paper makes A systematic investigation on the precise identification of pension needs of A welfare home by means of literature search,participatory observation and open interview.According to the survey,the accurate identification of pension needs of A welfare institution is mainly reflected in the living ability assessment and personalized nursing plan for the elderly.First of all,based on the ability assessment of the elderly admitted to hospital,the elderly are divided into several types according to their ability levels,and the elderly service needs of the elderly with different ability levels are classified and identified,so as to realize the precision of the elderly needs identification.Secondly,in the process of implementing the personalized needs planning project,the personalized elderly care needs of the elderly should be accurately identified in a refined and dynamic way,and the personalized elderly care should be implemented based on this.Based on the analysis of the data obtained from the survey,the accurate identification of pension needs of A welfare institution has achieved certain results: it has promoted the scientific evaluation of pension needs,created conditions for precise pension services,and also contributed to the development of pension services of the institution.However,as an innovative attempt of old-age care services in welfare institutions,current precise identification of old-age care needs has some deficiencies:incomplete content of demand assessment,insufficient acquisition of demand information,and imprecise differentiation of elderly groups,etc.The main reasons are :(1)the influence of the traditional institutional pension service model;(2)lack of theoretical guidance for accurate identification of pension needs;(3)obstacles in the expression of the needs of the aged;(4)resource constraints for accurate identification of elderly care needs.Based on the analysis of the problems and causes in the practice of precise identification of pension needs in A welfare institution,several countermeasures to improve the precise identification of pension needs are proposed.First,the implementation of the system needs assessment.Through comprehensive demand assessment,hierarchical demand assessment,personalized demand assessment and multi-method demand assessment,the accuracy of elderly needs identification can be promoted.The second is to improve the ability to identify needs.Through strengthening the theoretical guidance,building the talent team and expanding the resource raising channels,the demand identification ability can be improved to provide guarantee for the accurate identification of pension needs.
