A Study Of Khamenel's International Political Thought

The international political views,thoughts and theories of political leaders not only profoundly influence the choice of a country's international relations and international strategies,but also the choice of specific foreign policy,and to a certain extent determine the basic trend and direction of international competition and cooperation..Iran as a regional power,especially the international political thought of Khamenei,the contemporary Iranian political leader after the Islamic Revolution,is an important case.Since Khamenei became the supreme leader of Iran in 1989,he has been in charge of the Iranian regime for 30 years.His views on international politics have been quite mature and have become the highest guiding principle guiding Iran's international political practice.From the origin of Khamenei's international political thought,his international political thought is rooted not only in the political tradition of ancient Persia and the political thought of Shia Islam,but also in the response to the complex international reality.From the theoretical basis,his international political thought is based on the religious view,the human nature view,the democratic view and the freedom view of Islam.On the whole,it mainly includes anti-system political thought,Islamic revolutionary political globalization thought,Muslim great unity thought,independent and peaceful coexistence political thought and so on.In addition to the introduction,the paper is divided into five parts.The first part probes into the background of the formation of Khamenei's international political thought,which is mainly discussed from four aspects: the White Revolution,Third World doctrine,the Iran-Iraq War and the transformation of the international political pattern after the Cold War.The second part probes into the theoretical origin of Khamenei's international political thought.This part mainly analyses and studies the Persian traditional political thought in the pre-Islamic period,the international political thought in Shiite Islam and Khomeini's "political Islam" thought.The thirdpart explores the theoretical basis for the formation of Khamenei's international political thoughts.This part analyses and studies from five aspects: theistic religious and world outlook,human nature outlook based on the dichotomy of good and evil,political philosophy based on Islam,democracy derived from Islam and freedomoutlook derived from Islam.The fourth part is the key part of the article.This part mainly discusses the main contents of Khamenei's international political thought,namely,anti-system political thought,international politics and "Islamic globalization" thought,Muslim great unity thought,independent and peaceful coexistence thought.The fifth part is the concluding part of the article,which mainly comments on Khamenei's international political thought and its influence on Iranian diplomacy.
