The social stratum structure is a macroscopic and static description of social stratification, which profoundly affects the overall structure of society and is the core of social structure.Since the reform and opening up,Chinese social stratum structure has undergone fundamental changes. The standards of political, institutional, and administrative that determine people's socioeconomic status during the planned economy period are gradually replaced by new factors. The social stratification mechanism based on occupation gradually replaces the stratification mechanism based on political identity and administrative identity in the past. Therefore, how to divide the social stratum from the perspective of occupation has become an urgent problem to be solved. This paper mainly proposes a new basis for the identification of the boundaries of social stratum, and also expands the method of dividing social stratum. From the point of view of the identification of the social stratum, most of the current domestic research is divided from the perspective of occupational characteristics, ignoring the connection between occupations, which not only increases the workload of variable data collection, but also does not consider the impact of professional mobility on the formation of social stratum. This paper focuses on the impact of occupation mobility on the hierarchy, and takes the occupation mobility as the criterion for determining the boundaries of social stratum. This not only provides new variables for the division of social stratum, but also ensures the dynamics of social stratum division, and fits the definition that "social stratum is a relatively high internal mobility and relatively low external mobility.".From the perspective of the division of social stratum, the domestic focus is more on theoretical argumentation and descriptive statistical analysis, but this paper introduces a complex network clustering algorithm, and applies the mobile network clustering algorithm(MONECA)to social stratum modeling, which makes the mobility information mining of occupation data is more profound and objective.Based on the occupational data of China Labor-force Dynamic Survey(CLDS)2012-2016,this paper uses the Mobile Network Clustering Algorithm(MONECA)to explore the mobility relationship between occupations, build a professional mobility network, and construct social hierarchy based on clustering results. And this paper deepens the factors that influence the differentiation of social strata, and analyzes the changes in the social structure of present China. The article is divided into six parts:The first part is the introduction.Firstly,it expounds the research background and significance of social stratum division. Then it summarizes the related research of social strata at home and abroad, and finally introduces the research content, and points out the innovation points and deficiencies. The second part is the theoretical basis of the social stratum division. It mainly introduces the three most representative theoretical results in the study of social stratum theory, expounds the division method of social stratum, and compares the current popular research methods. The third part is the data introduction and model description. This part firstly explains the source and the processing process of data, then describes the occupation mobility data statistically. Finally,it introduces the calculation principle and application process of the Mobile Network Clustering Algorithm(MONECA)and the Relative Risk(RR).The fourth part is the empirical analysis of the occupation mobility table under the MONECA algorithm, which is the first part of the core of this paper. It mainly gives the present Chinese occupational mobility network and the clustering results of the MONECA algorithm with RR as the weight. The fifth part is the division of present Chinese social stratum, which is the second part of the core of this paper.Based on the clustering results, the structure of present Chinese social stratum under the occupational mobility data is analyzed, and factor analysis is performed to explore this stratum in depth. Finally, compared with "the theory of the top ten classes",this paper points out the differences and analyzing the reasons. The sixth part is the conclusion, summarizing the results and application value of social stratum division research based on occupation mobility, expounding the inadequacies of this study and the prospects for future research. After research, this paper has the following conclusions:First,at present, the Chinese work frequently, and it is necessary to regard occupation mobility as a variable of social stratum division.Secondly, the social stratum structure of seven strata is proposed, and the stratum is divided into 16 small groups. The small groups are composed of occupations with frequent mobility under the same stratum, and there is a certain degree of occupational segregation between different small groups in the same stratum.Third, the degree of education has the highest impact on all stratum.Gender and party have great influence on all stratum. The form of account has influence on some stratum, and the place of residence does not have effect.Fourth, the social stratum structure proposed in this paper is basically consistent with"the top ten stratum theory" in the high and low strata, and there are big differences in the middle strata.Since there is no complete occupation database in China, the empirical research in this paper takes CLDS2012-2016 as an example. However, with the electronicization of the work archives, after the formation of a complete personal work archive database in the future, the social stratum division method proposed in this paper can be automatically operated to realize the dynamic monitoring of social stratum.
