According to big data,more than sixty percent of civil servents working in grassroots.They are next to the masses,they can influence people's approval of the government and have a prodound impact on the current situation and future of grassroots governance in China.The stability and improvement of civil servents benefits to stability of our country.Job satisfaction reflects one's attitude towards his work and working environment which is directly related to the degree of stability.The improvement of civil servents' job satisfaction can motivate their initiative and creativity in work,continueing to improve the overall quality and work efficiency,promoting the construction of "five-type" government,and better to the stability of the government and development of our country.This study selected a certain county's civil servants as research object,using five-point scale questionnaire and JSS job satisfaction questionnaire,analysing by SPSS software combined with interviews to explore the relationship between gender,age,education,authorized strength,rank,politics status,birthplace,marriage,fertility circumstance,income with the satisfaction to salary,promotion prospect,leader,benefits,incentives and disincentives,working environment,colleague,sense of gain,co-operation,training and social status.Then,put forward some suggestion to improve the satisfaction according to the results of the survey.This study reached the following results:first,the job satisfaction of civil servents in villages and towns is above average,among which,they are most satisfied with their colleagues and leaders,but less satisfied with the promotion,salary and training opportunities,especially the promotion opportunities.Second,among all kinds of satisfaction factors,co-operation is the most important one,and a certain social status is the least important one.Third,the objects think that their salary growth is too slow,they always work overtime but can not take annual leave,other divisions shift responsibility sometimes,and they don't have enough and effective training.Fourth,one the whole married people are less satisfied with salary,promotion,incentives and disincentives,and working environment,while a person of higher rank is less satisfied with promotion opportunities,and the older one is more satisfied with salary.Finally,I give suggestions as pay attention to civil servents' mental health,building a better salary increase mechanism,a better performance appraisal system and a better prmotion way,adopting benefits without delay,increasing training's frequency and quality,to improve job satisfaction of township's civil servent.
