Research On The Moral Construction Of Township Cadres In Politics In The New Era

Since ancient times,the so-called “political virtue” has been known as the “official morality”,namely the morality of officials' administration,which is a special professional ethic formed and reflected via the administrator's exercise of public powers.Over the past thousands of years,the ideology of official morality centered on governing with morality,governing with honesty,loyalty and patriotism,and taking the people as the core has been formed,which have had a profound impact on the Chinese people for thousands of years.The classical Marxist writers have also paid great attention to proletarian political virtue construction.The ideology of a clean and honest administration put forward by Marx and Engels,and the Party cadre team construction formed by Lenin in the proletariat party construction have both provided fundamental guidelines for political virtue construction among Chinese civil servants.Since the founding of the Communist Party of China,the communists inherited inheriting prior scholars' ideas in different historical directions,and formed a series of important ideas around political virtue construction of party cadres.In the new era,president Xi Jinping emphasized that the Party's cadres must stress to their political morality on many occasions,and endowed political virtue with a new connotation,namely clarification of great virtue,adherence to social ethics,and stick strictly to personal virtue when participating in the deliberation of the Chongqing delegation in the two sessions.Township cadres have a natural and close link with farmers in their daily work.They are the bridge between the Party,government and farmers,and their political virtue is related to the overall image of the Party and country,implementation of strategy for rural revitalization,grassroots anti-corruption and clean government construction,and the political construction of the Party at the grassroots level.Therefore,in villages and towns,not only township cadres should develop their political virtue,but also all cadres who have political rights should be brought into the scope of political virtue construction.Currently,there are some problems with some of township cadres in terms of their great virtue,social ethics and personal virtue on account of long-term interaction of multiple factors.Personally,these problems are caused by uneven personal qualities and lack of attention paid to political virtue construction.In the matter of the social environment,these problems are resulted from the influence of diverse values,official standard culture,and differential pattern in the rural society.Institutionally,these problems are caused by incompleteness of the grassroots political virtue assessment mechanism,supervision system and restriction mechanism.To solve the problem of township cadres' political virtue,in the matter of the individual level,we should enhance and strengthen theoretical cultivation and self-discipline awareness in order to enhance the consciousness of cadres and purify their personal circle.In terms of the culture,we should promote the construction of the socialist core value system and a clean and honest administration culture in villages and towns.And the system mechanism of political morality evaluation,supervision and restraint should be further strengthened.
