Study On The Changes Of Sanhe Village Houses In Suixian County Of Hubei Province Since The Reform And Opening Up

Folk houses are the crystallization of the construction and cultivation of material and spiritual space.They are not only the place where people live,but also the place where the spirit depends.In the process of the change of houses,there are ecological,livelihood,concept,belief,politics,economy,family,clan and other factors.Sanhe Village,located in suixian County,Hubei Province,has experienced great changes in local houses since the reform and opening up 40 years ago due to its special geographical location and unique resource advantages.This paper studies the changes of local ecology,livelihood,national policy,family structure,people's ideas,customs,beliefs and other aspects,so as to see the process and reasons of rural social changes in Hubei Province since the reform and opening up,so as to understand the rural social changes in China,explore the future development direction of rural China,and provide field cases.Reform and opening-up,family planning policy,livelihood mode,economic income,family structure,life concept and other factors have a great impact on Sanhe Village.After the reform and opening up,the changes of Sanhe Village's houses are mainly reflected in building materials,external forms and internal spatial layout.The change of building materials is not only inseparable from the development of economy and society,but also related to the local resource conditions.In the change of Sanhe Village's residence,the external form of the building has experienced the change process from the first floor to the multi floor and from the top of the herringbone to the flat roof,which will inevitably lead to the change of the residence building process and the house building custom.The changes of the internal structure involve the functional changes of the hall,kitchen,bedroom,livestock circle and toilet.These changes reflect the changes of local people's values and life style,as well as the changes of various customs and rituals,living pattern,family network,intergenerational relations and other aspects related to building houses.To some extent,the changes of Sanhe Village's houses reflect the development process of China's rural areas.If we analyze it from the perspective of tradition and modernization,the future of the countryside seems to be urbanization,the style of rural houses and the features of rural appearance are gradually lost,and the phenomenon of homogenization is becoming more and more serious.However,through the study of Sanhe Village,we believe that although the influence of modernization goes deep into it,the relevance of environment,human and culture is not completely separated in Sanhe Village.Under the traditional concept of fengshui,in the belief that residential buildings are closely related to the well-being of family members,the surface material space and symbols are changing,but its cultural significance and function in the village society are still continuing.In the interaction of environment,building materials,society and people,people always look for resources in their historical,ecological and cultural traditions to adjust and adapt to the changing society.Rural change and its future,urbanization or revitalization,requires scholars to enter the rural world,find the key cultural symbols,through participation in observation,experience,to understand the life behind cultural symbols such as folk houses.Through the Enlightenment of the people's daily life,we should avoid the simple classification of the folk houses as spiritual and cultural carriers or material entities,or fixed at one end of the binary framework of traditional or modern,rural or urban.If we can understand the generation and transformation process of residential symbols,we can understand the significance of key village cultures such as residential buildings,find the soul of villages,and sort out the cultural context of Rural Revitalization.
