Research On Optimization Of Overseas Chinese Affairs Work In Meishan Town Of Quanzhou City

The township grassroots are the forefront of overseas Chinese affairs and the foundation of local overseas Chinese affairs.Optimizing the work of overseas Chinese affairs in towns and villages,making better use of the advantages of directly facing overseas Chinese,improving the efficiency and quality of grassroots overseas Chinese affairs,and consolidating the foundation of overseas Chinese affairs are the important issues at present.Meishan Town is a central town in the north of Nan'an,a county-level city of Quanzhou in Fujian Province.It is one of the famous overseas Chinese towns in southern Fujian.The study of overseas Chinese affairs in Meishan Town has typical representative significance in the study of overseas Chinese affairs.This article takes the work of overseas Chinese affairs in Meishan Town as the research object,and uses the literature research method,comparative analysis method,and case study method as research methods.Through visiting the front-line workers,overseas Chinese and the family members of overseas Chinese,I collect information and statistical data for deep analysis of the current overseas Chinese affairs work in Meishan Town.There are some problems such as imperfect working mode of overseas Chinese affairs work,gradual weakening of the role of overseas Chinese federations,single working method,with lacking connection of overseas Chinese affairs resources,underestimating appeals and valuing investment.The problems are analyzed one by one,there are the following main causes: the lack of a long-term working mechanism,bigger difficulty of expanding new overseas Chinese affairs resources,the lack of necessary conditions for the township overseas Chinese federation to carry out their work,weak service awareness,with unequal powers and responsibilities,blank defence basis,conservative work concepts,and some others.Based on the useful experience of overseasChinese affairs in other regions,I believes that to further optimize the work of overseas Chinese affairs in Meishan Town,we should start with building a comprehensive service platform and expanding the authority of the town government,ensuring the sustainable development of overseas Chinese affairs resources,effectively strengthening the role of grassroots overseas Chinese federation,proactively serving the appeals and safeguarding legitimate rights and interests,and innovating working ideas.
