As an indispensable part of equipment support,Military equipment warehouse management can improve the equipment warehouse management efficiency by using the latest technology.It will also become the inexorable trend of the future equipment management.The traditional IoT technology represented by ZigBee can meet the requirement of overall perception,reliable transmission,intelligent processing of the basic information,location information and environmental information of equipment,and also can promote the efficiency of equipment warehouse management effectively.However,traditional Io T technology represented by ZigBee lacks competitiveness in terms of cost,power consumption,coverage and scalability in the application scenarios such as large warehouse equipment,wide warehouse area and complex warehouse environment.In contrast,the emerging IoT technology — low-power wide area networks technology(LPWAN)represented by NB-IoT,LoRa,etc.,is characterized by wide coverage,massive connection,low power,low cost,etc.Besides,it can be used in both indoor and outdoor localization applications,and have advantages in terms of random access and security infrastructure.This means that it is more applicable for modern warehouse management.This paper focuses on how to use LPWAN technology to improve the management efficiency of equipment warehouse.The main work includes:1.The current research status of IoT technology application in the field of equipment warehouse management is summarized.Also,the application advantages of LPWAN technology in the field of equipment warehouse management are analyzed.2.The typical LPWAN technologies(NB-IoT,eMTC,LoRa,and Sigfox)are detailly described in the licensed and unlicensed bands.The advantages and disadvantages when applying these technologies in the field of equipment warehouse management are also analyzed.3.Considering the shortcomings of traditional IoT technology applied to equipment warehouse management,according to the equipment type and characteristics of a communication equipment warehouse,a NB-IoT based Warehouse Management System(NB-Based WMS)and a LoRa based Warehouse Management System(LoRa-Based WMS)are proposed.The equipment information sensing process,equipment positioning process and equipment outbound and other business processes of NB-Based WMS are given,and the equipment information sensing process of LoRa-Based WMS and the positioning strategy that can be used is described in detail.4.Simulation results of using HTCPN modeling method to model the workflow of NB-Based WMS show that NB-Based WMS has higher efficiency in information perception,equipment outbound,and equipment storage in comparison with ZigBee-based equipment warehouse management scheme.Using the IDEF0 modeling method,the function of LoRa-Based WMS is modeled from the perspective of functional activities.The main functional activities and their interrelationships in the process of equipment warehouse management are described,which provide design basis for future system development.
