A Studies On The Trump Administration's Policy Of "Extreme Pressure" On North Korea

After Trump became President of the United States,he changed the Obama administration's policy of “Strategic Patience” towards North Korea,and established the policy of “Extreme Pressure” aimed at denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula.This paper chooses the government Trump's policy of “Extreme Pressure” on North Korea as the research object.By comparing the system in-depth analysis,this thesis assessing the policy basis,details and tendency of “Extreme Pressure” policy,and then evaluate the challenges of Trump administration's “Extreme Pressure” policy to our country.The full text consists four chapters.The first chapter is the introduction,which mainly analyzes the background of the topic selection,the current research situation at domestic and abroad,the theoretical value and practical significance of the research.The second chapter analyzes the formation basis of the Trump administration's policy of “Extreme Pressure” on North Korea from the international,domestic and theoretical aspects.Mainly reveals the influence and restriction of domestic and foreign factors during the process of the Trump administration's policy of “Extreme Pressure” on North Korea.The third chapter focused on the content of “Extreme Pressure” on North Korea,and summed up the characteristics such as military threat,economic sanctions and diplomatic isolation.It also reveals the strategic attempt of the trump administration to force DPRK to make a fundamental change in its nuclear missile development policy through the above comprehensive.The fourth chapter based on the current strategic situation of the Korean Peninsula,especially the actual development of the denuclearization process on the peninsula,makes a preliminary assessment of the effect of “Extreme Pressure” policy on DPRK,and conducts a preliminary assessment of its future policy direction.
