Since Trump became the president of the United States,he has immediately issued a series of measures against the North Korean nuclear issue. He showed a huge transformation with the former President Barack Obama, including the DPRK nuclear issue in the national security charter, and announced that he would abandon the "Strategic Patience" policy of the Obama era against the DPRK and instead implement "Maximum Pressure" policy.Including political containment, economic sanctions, military threats and diplomatic isolation;and measures to adopt measures against the Korean nuclear issue,Trump also launched a series of diplomatic activities on the DPRK nuclear issue to fight for North Korea.Among them, the intensity of sanctions and the cruelty of diplomacy are the most severe ones in history. In this way, after implementing the "Maximum Pressure" policy for more than a year,it seems that there is an effect. The DPRK-ROK relations began to "recover warm" by the opportunity of the Winter Olympics. The heads of state of DPRK and ROK met and high-level exchanges increased. The icebreaking of the DPRK-ROK relations brought the opportunity to meet the DPRK and the United States, and achieved a major breakthrough in the DPRK-US diplomacy. The two heads of state met in Singapore on June 12,2018 for the first time and reached four agreements. However, since the failure of the second meeting between the DPRK and the United States, the DPRK-US relationship seems to have begun to return to cold.Kim Jong-un began to resume nuclear R&D activities and refused a new round of negotiations between the DPRK and the United States.Although Trump himself has always been open to the conversation, there is no guarantee that the United States will not implement a new round of the "Maximum Pressure" 2.0 policy for North Korea. This will cause a new round of security problems for neighboring countries and is not conducive to peace and stability in Northeast Asia. The purpose of this paper is to analyze the series of nuclear measures against North Korea since Trump took office as the US president.Using comparative analysis and literature research methods,President Trump has appeared in the policy toward the DPRK than the former President Barack Obama. The difference is that it shows the great transformation with former President Obama and the urgency of the DPRK nuclear issue. It also reveals the influence of President Trump's “Maximum Pressure” policy on North Korea and neighboring countries has led to the “Maximum Pressure” policy to force North Korea to return to the negotiating table to fight for a peaceful resolution of the Korean nuclear issue. In the end,the essay predicts the future direction of the "Maximum Pressure" policy.
