It has been more than 25 years since China was connected to the Internet in 1994.Internet access has enabled China to enter the information age and profoundly affected China's development in various aspects.With the continuous progress of communication technology,mobile Internet has become an indispensable part of people's life.As an important part of the mobile Internet users,the rural elderly are actively using the Internet and enjoying the convenience brought by the mobile Internet.However,the existence of many factors also restricts the rural elderly group to better study and use the mobile Internet.Therefore,it is of great significance to understand the main forms of mobile Internet use by rural elderly groups and the main reasons for restricting their use of mobile Internet,so as to help them better learn and use mobile Internet in the future.Understanding the real use of mobile Internet by the rural elderly is crucial.Therefore this article through to the Shandong city G village dozen elderly over the age of 60 in-depth interviews of mobile Internet users,including selection of 10 respondents interview content as text content in the research of the study,to NVivo qualitative analysis and sum up the content of the interviews,the research content includes the rural elderly population of mobile Internet main application scenario,the use of motivation and influencing factors,etc.The research found that the main scenarios of mobile Internet use of rural elderly include mobile communication,leisure and entertainment,mobile payment and information acquisition.The main motivations for use are to communicate with children,enrich their spare time,and increase social contact with the outside world.Factors include education,access costs,Internet access and hardware.In addition,this paper combines the digital divide and the use and satisfaction theory,and analyzes the interview contents of the interviewees to understand their actual needs from the deep field.At last,this paper puts forward some reasonable Suggestions on how to make the rural elderly learn and use the mobile Internet better from two aspects,including the popularization of hardware equipment and the improvement of the learning ability of the elderly,so that the mobile Internet can play a greater role in the rural elderly.
