A Study On The Stage Of Capitalist Development Since 1980s

The problem of capitalist development stage is an important proposition of Marxism.The research of this problem has important theoretical and practical significance.If we accurately grasp the development stage of capitalism,we can grasp the cause and future trend of the development and change of capitalism,and then we can formulate correct strategies to deal with various problems and challenges in the era of "one ball,two systems".After the 1980 s,scholars have been debating whether capitalism has entered a new stage and what kind of development stage it belongs to.In the last two decades of the last century,with the popularity of new liberalism and the trend of economic globalization,capitalism has undergone many new changes and new developments.According to these new changes and new developments,the academic community has carried out extensive and in-depth research on the stage of the development of contemporary capitalism,and a variety of views have emerged,which has triggered many debates in the academic community.Among them,the view of capitalism entering the stage of international monopoly capitalism is particularly influential and tends to become the mainstream view.The main arguments of this view are globalization with the theme of neoliberalism,the rapid development of transnational corporations and the unrestrained free flow of capital in the world.Among them,globalization is the most important basis for in-depth development.However,after the outbreak of the international financial crisis in 2008,the tide of anti globalization has spread all over the world,and there are many new changes in the development of contemporary capitalism.Among them,the most striking changes are that the new liberalism has been questioned by many parties,the return of state interventionism,the rise of new trade protectionism,and the emergence of a new wave of nationalization.Under the background of anti globalization,these changing trends of contemporary capitalism refute the theory of international monopoly capitalism with objective facts,which makes the theory of international monopoly capitalism lose its full basis.However,the strong return of state interventionism,the strengthening of state intervention and macro-control in capitalist countries,and the emergence of a new wave of nationalization confirm that contemporary capitalism is still in the stage of state monopoly capitalism from the theoretical and practical levels,which shows that state monopoly capitalism has been developed under the background of anti globalization.
