Research On The Institutional Discourse Power Of Developing Countries In WTO

The international system has a long history in the history of international relations.With the emergence of various international organizations in the international community,the construction of international institutions has become a new topic.In the process of building the international system,institutional discourse power has become a new object of general competition,including developed countries.The improvement of economic strength has promoted the international status of developing countries,and accordingly began to hope to do something in the field of international mechanism building.Based on the theoretical framework of international system and mechanism,this paper defines the connotation and function of institutional discourse power,and analyses its influencing factors,which provides a theoretical basis for promoting the institutional discourse power of developing countries.At the same time,as the material entity of the international mechanism and organization,the theoretical research of the former provides theoretical support for the analysis of its functions and limitations.In addition,by analyzing the imbalance and tortuosity faced by the World Trade Organization and revealing the fact that the World Trade Organization needs to reform,developing countries can take this opportunity to vigorously enhance their institutional voice in the WTO.Moreover,although developing countries have made some achievements in actively promoting the Doha Round negotiations and enhancing the discourse power in the dispute settlement mechanism,they still face many problems,such as undemocratic negotiation forms and decision-making methods,lack of right to formulate rules and content options,and insufficient utilization of the dispute settlement mechanism.Combining with the achievements and limitations of the institutional discourse power,and further draw the reasons for the limitations,prescribe the right remedy to the case.Finally,on the basis of a comprehensive analysis of the limitations and reasons of developing countries' voice power in the WTO,the author hopes to provide effective countermeasures to enhance the overall institutional voice power of developing countries,including strengthening the comprehensive national strength,integrating into global economic governance,enhancing the capacity of system construction,participating in WTO reform,building a new international system and strengthening solidarity and cooperation among developing countries.The strengthening of the institutional voice of developing countries in the WTO is conducive to promoting the process of economic globalization,improving the international economic and trade environment,improving the relevant WTO procedures and promoting extensive economic exchanges and cooperation.
