Since the 21 st century, the originally popular multiculturalism has faced both political retreat and theoretical criticism. In the criticism of multiculturalism,?i?ek’s critical analyses constitute one of the radicalization dimensions. The article systematically presents ?i?ek’s core point of identifying multiculturalism as the cultural logic of multinational capitalism, and uses the philosophical concept of "concrete universality" to associate and discuss ?i?ek’s critical analyses with his leftist radical political theory.?i?ek’s critical analyses has not undergone a major shift in the evolution of his thoughts, and has basically continued his radical criticism of today’s multinational capitalism, but has made minor amendments to the details.Putting ?i?ek’s critical analyses in the political map of the study of multiculturalism,we can find that:(1)?i?ek’s critical analyses has certain "family similarity" with the current criticism of multiculturalism, but it advances in a radical direction thoroughly;(2)When ?i?ek identifies multiculturalism as a "rootless" theory in response to multinational capitalism, critics also point out that ?i?ek’s critical analyses is largely "rootless";(3)?i?ek contributes a Lacanian critical analyses of multiculturalism in Hegel-Marx approach. And from ?i?ek who focused on political criticism of multinational capitalism lately to ?i?ek who focused on the interpretation of philosophy and psychoanalysis early,we could propose a critical approach of Subject philosophy to multiculturalism. In summary, multiculturalism in ?i?ek’s perspective is actually a Ptolemization of the multinational capitalism order rather than a Copernican revolution. |
