Under the background of rapid economic and social development and increasingly perfect commodity market,money not only plays an important role in people's life,but also has a profound impact on people's values.With the global exposure of business scandals,more and more people have to pay attention to the social harm caused by unethical behavior and its underlying causes.It is urgent to conduct in-depth research on money psychology and unethical behavior.Based on the theory of planned behavior,this study constructs a research model about love of money influencing unethical work behavior,deeply analyzes the mediating effect of moral disengagement and the moderating effect of perceived competitive climate,and explore the influence mechanism of love of money on unethical work behavior.The significance of this study lies in: theoretically,it can enrich the research of love of money and unethical work behavior,in practice,it is conducive to the implementation of human resource ethical management and construction to effectively avoid or reduce the occurrence of employees' unethical work behavior.A total of 367 employees participated in this study.Questionnaire survey was used to investigate love of money,unethical work behavior,moral disengagement and perceived competitive climate.Data analysis was conducted by SPSS25.0 and Mplus7.4 statistical software.The empirical results show that: Firstly love of money has a positive predictive effect on unethical work behavior;Secondly love of money has a significant positive effect on moral disengagement;Thirdly moral disengagement has a partly mediating effect on the relationship between love of money and unethical work behavior;Fourthly the perceived competitive climate positively moderates the relationship between love of money and unethical work behavior,as well as the relationship between love of money and moral disengagement;Fifthly the perceived competitive climate moderates the mediating effect of moral disengagement on the relationship between love of money and unethical work behavior.Based on the conclusions of the study,some suggestions are put forward,such as grasping the recruitment process,strengthening the moral training and education of employees,and building a good organizational competition climate.
