With the development of new-type urbanization, the integration of migrant workers into the city has been getting increasingly attention. In the process of integration, employment status, housing and social security are very important parts, and employment status is the first step after rural labor moving into cities. In recent years, the job mobility of migrant workers has been increasing. It is common to see migrant workers change their workplaces and working cities.Besides, the term of employment in the same work unit is short. In this context, handling the problems of job mobility of migrant workers and urban integration properly has become a major challenge for China's social and economic development.Urban integration is a multi-dimensional concept, including dimensions such as the economy level, the society level and the psychology level. How does the widespread occupational mobility affect the level of urban integration? How does the job mobility affect the different dimensions of city integration? Do different types of job mobility have different effects? Is there heterogeneity within the migrant workers group about the effects? This thesis tries to analyze and answer these questions. This thesis combines empirical analysis with normative analysis, quantitative analysis and qualitative analysis to analyze the impact of migrant workers' occupational mobility on urban integration.Firstly we select data of migrant people collected by National Health and Family Planning Commission, using principal component analysis to measure the integration level. Then we use multilevel regression model to estimate coefficient.Considering the existence of endogenous,we select the appropriate instrumental variables to deal with it.Conclusions are as follows:In general, the job mobility of migrant workers has a negative effect on their urban integration, and the influence varies in different dimensions.More specifically,it has a positive effect on the economic level, but a negative effect on the social and psychological level. After distinguishing different types of job mobility, both active job mobility and passive job mobility have,to some extent,a negative effect on urban integration.Besides, the passivejob mobility has a greater negative impact on urban integration. However, the influence of both type on economic level is significantly different.Active job mobility can improve the integration level of economic level, while passive mobility hinders it.Based on the further classification of migrant workers,it is found that, for the low-skilled migrant workers, job mobility has a significant negative effect on their integration into urban areas, but has no significant effect on high-skilled migrant workers. Also, for the migrant workers who living alone, job mobility has an adverse effect on their integration into the city.but has a positive effect on workers whose families living together. The quartile regression model shows that the effect of job mobility on urban integration is more significant for migrant workers at low and middle points. These conclusions enlighten us to put forward relevant policy Suggestions: In general, employment stability and moderate flow of migrant workers should still be put in the first place.Specifically,it is necessary to balance the relationship between employment mobility and stability. We can use policy such as unembedding flow channel, strengthening information disclosure, coordinating social security system, increasing education investment, constructing professional training system, perfecting the system design to encourage family members to move together to achieve this goal.
