The Research Of The Nuclear Arms Control Negotiation

Nuclear weapons play a very important role in international politics since it appeared on the world stage in 1945.During the Cold War,the Soviet Union and the United States continued to carry out nuclear arms race,the world was caught into the fear of nuclear weapons,the voice of nuclear disarmament hasn't been stopped.These two countries carried out some nuclear arms control negotiations and signed a series of nuclear arms control treaties before the collapse of the Soviet Union,part of these treaties also directly or indirectly led the end of the Cold War.After the Cold War,the discussions between the United States and Russia on the nuclear arms control did not stop,but become increasingly active.The international community has a new cognition of nuclear arms control with the substantial reduction of nuclear weapons between these two countries.Throughout the development of the nuclear arms control between the United States and Russia after the Cold War,it's easy to see that the negotiation is one of the core links.Nuclear arms control negotiation is a special diplomatic negotiation with its own characteristics.This paper will focus on the implementation,the relationship with the nuclear deterrence,the significance of the summit participation and the characteristics of the nuclear arms control negotiations.First and foremost,this paper discusses the connotation of nuclear arms control diplomacy and negotiations,and expounds the relevant theoretical knowledge of nuclear arms control negotiations.Secondly,through a series of nuclear disarmament treaties signed by the US and Russia after the Cold War,the implementation process of the nuclear arms control negotiations was introduced,and these treaties were evaluated from different angles.Then summarizes these processes to discuss the characteristics of nuclear arms control negotiations by combining with the general rules of diplomatic negotiations.China's response toward the implementation of the nuclear arms control in the future is discussed at last in order to find new ideas to participate in nuclear arms control.
