Research On Prisoners' Vocational Education

Although prison is a relatively isolated place from the outside world,with the development of the times,prison work is inevitably facing new challenges.With the development of the times,the construction of modern and civilized prisons must complete the functional transformation from simple places of detention to places of education and reform.Prisoners' vocational education is an important part of the education and reform of prisoners.Prison organization of vocational for prisoners can help prisoners establish a correct outlook on labor,master the skills,and make a living by their own ability after their release to society,so as not to embark on the road of crime again.The vocational education of prisoners can help to reduce the rate of re-offence of prisoners and effectively reflect the function of prison education and reform.However,due to the influence of many factors,such as the traditional function orientation of detention places,there are some problems in the development of vocational education.The term of imprisonment of prisoners in F Prison includes all kinds of sentences including death penalty suspended for two years,life imprisonment and fixed-term imprisonment.The charges of detaining criminals include all kinds of crimes such as violent crime,drug crime,economic crime,etc.The prison area inside the prison includes new prison area and conventional prison area,which is a very largecomprehensive prison.Through the study of vocational education for female prisoners in Shanghai,it is not only helpful for this prison to better carry out vocational education,but also has important practical significance for other prisons to carry out vocational education.Around the structure of problems-causes-countermeasures,this paper comprehensively uses many research methods,such as literature research,comparative analysis and questionnaire survey.On the basis of explaining the research background and significance,it introduces the related theories and concepts of vocational education and prisoner's vocational education.From the perspective of F Prison,it also introduces the professional skill of prisoners in prison.Through in-depth analysis of the education situation,we can find out the problems in the training work,specifically for the lack of willingness to learn,supervision system restricts the development of training,lack of adequate teaching time and lack of police force in training.In view of the existing problems in the training work,this paper analyses the causes of the problems and expounds the reasons one by one.According to the reasons behind the problems and combining with the development of prison vocational education in Britain,Germany,Switzerland and Singapore,this paper finds out the countermeasures that can be used for reference in the development of prison vocational education in foreign countries,and finally puts forward the countermeasures that can solve the problems existing in prison vocational skills training at present,which are to improve the willingness of prisoners to learn and improve the supervision system,to guarantee the full teaching time of vocational education,to improve the guarantee system of vocational education,and give full play to the important significance of prison vocational skills training for society,prison and prisoners themselves.
