The Research On The Development Of Socialism Charities With Chinese Characteristics In The New Era

Charity is an ancient and warm topic with a long history of development.As a regulator of social interests,philanthropy plays a significant role in helping the poor,alleviating social contradictions,promoting social equity,and enhancing people's social responsibility.Since the reform and opening up,China's philanthropy has developed steadily.After the Fourth Plenary Session of the 16 th CPC Central Committee,and "charity" has officially accessed to the official documents of the central leadership since then.With the continuous development of society and economy,the 19 th CPC National Congress announced that socialism with Chinese characteristics had entered a new era.As a result,new changes and situations have emerged in the philanthropy that has developed at the same frequency as the times in China.With the promulgation of the "Charity Law of the People's Republic of China" and the emergence of Internet philanthropy,charitable organizations are facing many problems such as how to perform good deeds in accordance with the law and scientifically use the Internet platform.Based on the background of the new era,this paper analyzes and summarizes the current status and causes of development of the philanthropy in China,and seeks a more benign development path for the philanthropy for the socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new era.This paper has four parts:In the first part,the paper starts with the basic concepts of charity and philanthropy,and clarifies the basic concepts,theoretical basis,and development history of socialist charity with Chinese characteristics after the reform and opening up.The profound theoretical understanding of Marx and Engels' philanthropic thoughts,the tracing of traditional Chinese philanthropic thoughts,and the clarification of the CPC's directives on philanthropy at various stages after the founding of New China have laid the theoretical foundation for the study.The second part analyzes and summarizes the achievements,problems and causes of the development of China's philanthropy in recent years.On the basis of the recognition of the achievements,the shortcomings are clearly identified,and solutions are sought for the further development of China's philanthropy.The development of philanthropy in western countries such as Britain and the United States is more mature.In the new era,China's philanthropy must learn from their advanced experience in accordance with its actual situation.The third part recommends the experience that China's philanthropy can draw for its development with regard to development status,philanthropic ideas and models of the philanthropy in Britain and the United States.In the fourth part,the development path of socialist philanthropy with Chinese characteristics in the new era is proposed from the perspectives of the policy environment of the development of charitable organizations,their construction and philanthropy culture based on an in-depth discussion of the development history,development status,policy support of the CPC and the country,and the development process of charitable organizations of the philanthropy in China,and combined with the experience of western charities which can be learned from.
