A Study About The National Identity Of The People In The Land Border Areas From The Perspective Of Political Geography

In the process of the development of a nation-state,the core and border areas of the country have been forming a "core-periphery" development structure.The structure of "core-periphery" affects the national identity of the people in the border areas in politics,economy and culture: in politics,the border areas are at the end of the operation of state power,and the people in the border areas have a weak perception of the country,which affects their national identity;in economy,the development of the border areas lags behind the national core areas,and this backward economic development can not only be the border areas.In terms of culture,there is no mature modern culture to support the construction of modern national identity.Under the background of globalization and information development,the national "core-periphery" structure began to dissolve,and the influence of the "core-periphery" structure on the people's national identity in the border areas is becoming less and less.However,the dissolution of "core-periphery" structure is a long-term process,which has not been fundamentally eliminated.The development of globalization has brought new challenges to the construction of the national identity of the people in the border areas: the opening of the national boundaries weakens the "national consciousness" of the people in the border areas,and the transformation of the functions of the national boundaries also makes many international factors begin to impact the national identity of the people in the border areas.In addition,the neighboring country factor has also become an important factor affecting the people's national identity in the border areas.On the one hand,as a whole country,the behavior of neighboring countries will have an impact on the national identity of the people in the border areas,on the other hand,the interest contrast between the people in the border areas and the people in the border areas will also affect the national identity of the people in the border areas.Although China's land border area has its own particularity,it also has the geographical characteristics of the land border area in a general sense,and its people's national identity is also affected by the special geographical space of the land border area.Therefore,the study from the perspective of political geography,using the methods of literature research and analytic hierarchy process,on the basis of analyzinghow the "core-periphery" structure,national boundary factors and neighboring countries affect the national identity of the people in the land border areas,this paper attempts to find some solutions for the national identity of the people in the border areas of China.
