Since the opening of the 18thCPC National Congress,the Party Central Committee with General Secretary Xi Jinping at its core has inherited and developed the Marxist outlook on education and the outlook on education upheld by leaders of the Communist Party of China in previous sessions,thus forming a systematic set of enriched educational concepts.In 2017,General Secretary Xi Jinping pointed out the necessity of“providing education which is satisfactory to people”in the work report of the 19thCPC National Congress.In 2018,the National Educational Conference put forward the new concept of“insisting on people-centered educational development”.In the new era,to develop education by putting people in the first place,and provide education satisfactory to people have been an internal requirement of the Communist Party of China to realize governing for the people,and an important reflection to implement the“people-centered philosophy of development”.They are also a basic adherence and important guideline for the reform and development of education in China.In the new era,research of the Communist Party of China into the people-centered educational concept innovation mainly studies innovation of the idea of people-centered educational development since the 18thCPC National Congress with General Secretary Xi Jinping at its core.The research usually happens in the field of school education,and can supplement the positive role of social education and family education in developing school education.Based on research methods of Marxist social sciences,and relying on interdisciplinary theories and methods from pedagogy,systematics,and sociology,this paper examines the innovational content of the people-centered educational concept developed by the Communist Party of China in the new era.In response to the new development environment and solution of major social contradiction,General Secretary Xi Jinping has provided a new development thinking and objective for the development of socialist education with Chinese characteristics in the new era,which has overall planning of educational development based on the great development pattern laid out by Marxist politicians and by sticking to the people orientation.The Communist Party of China has studied the innovation of people-centered educational concepts from the perspective of its basic connotation and theoretical origin,content and practical path of theoretical innovation,theoretical value and practical significance.First,in terms of the basic connotation and theoretical origin,the basic connotation of the educational concept innovation is examined from three dimensions,including the logical starting point,value orientation,and objective so as to reflect the important direction of the concept of people-centered educational concept,and the educational concept is an inheritance,development and innovation of the Marxist outlook on education.Second,in terms of the innovational content and way of practice,the people-centered educational concept innovation is investigated,considering the educational strategy,objective,content and method innovation.Additionally,practical paths are proposed,including improving the connotation of educational concepts,promoting the innovation of educational methods,and deepening the reform of the educational mechanism.Third,from the perspective of theoretical and practical significance,the people-centered educational concept developed by the Communist Party of China constitutes the latest development achievement of Marxist educational concepts with the Chinese characteristics.This has enriched the Marxist outlook on education and the ideological content of socialism with Chinese characteristics upheld by General Secretary Xi Jinping,and laid a solid theoretical foundation for the development of socialist education with Chinese characteristics in the near era.As to the practical significance,the people-centered educational concept can deepen the comprehensive educational reform,and boost the modernization of education;facilitate the development of China's cultural soft power,accelerate the construction of a socialist country with a powerful educational system,and improve China's comprehensive national strength;stimulate the development vigor of China's education,and lay a solid foundation for the building of an educational powerhouse and realization of the China Dream of“great revitalization”.
