Analysis And Countermeasures Of Police-related Internet Rumors In The New Media Era

By March 2020,the number of Internet users in China has reached 904 million,the Internet penetration rate has reached 64.5%,the number of mobile Internet users has reached 897 million,and the proportion of mobile Internet users has reached 99.3%.Self-media and social media have become one of the most popular media types in Internet media.With the characteristics of large user base,fast information dissemination and strong interactive functions,it has become an important force for online content communication.The police network rumor refers to all kinds of false information that is based on the Internet as a medium of communication and is unconfirmed or unsubstantiated by the public security organs and the public security police.China is in a period of social transformation,the phenomenon of diversification of social interests and the complexity of social contradictions.Coupled with the popularity of the Internet and the promotion of the media,China's police network rumors and crisis events frequently occur,and state institutions are passive.The status has caused unhealthy social influences,and the police-civilian relationship has also gone in a direction that is unsatisfactory,has a greater impact on the government's credibility,and ultimately has a negative impact on the long-term stability of society.In view of the above problems,this paper attempts to make progress in dealing with the police network rumors in theory and practice.This thesis mainly uses the methods of social psychology and risk evaluation management to conduct research and analysis on police network rumors,find out the causes and harms of rumors of police network rumors,and analyze the psychological characteristics of rumor producers and communicators by using psychological principles.On the basis of the analysis,Six coping strategies for police-related network rumors are put forward:Relevant psychological analysis and countermeasures;Take measures according to the risk assessment;Strategies of "Internal and External Integration" of Public Security Organs;Establishing a rumor refuting mechanism;Strengthening the deterrent effect of legal punishment;Improve the media quality and legal literacy of netizens.These measures are conducive to enrich the theoretical basis of police-related rumors governance,provide a certain reference for public security organs to prevent and deal with police-related network rumors,and have a certain practical reference significance for improving the crisis response abilit y of public security organs and building a harmonious and stable social environment.
