In recent years, the number of migrant workers in China is increasing gradually, and affected by many factors, the rights and interests of migrant workers have been violated repeatedly.Migrant workers problem has become one of the most prominent social problems in our society. The researches show that the sense of social justice, satisfaction and expectation of migrant workers have declined, and even have affected their political support. The issue of migrant workers' political support is related to the long-term stability of the society, while the existing research is still insufficient and controversial. This paper finds that many studies have explored the issue of deprivation of migrant workers, which is considered to be an important reason for migrant workers to participate in mass incidents. However, there is no study on whether the issue of deprivation will be politicized psychologically and affect the political support of migrant workers.Once the issue of deprivation affects political support,it will lay the seeds for political disobedience and even political rebellion. The reason why deprivation leads to political rebellion is that it is endowed with political significance psychologically. Therefore,it is very important to study whether the deprivation of migrant workers will be politicized and affect the political support. This paper measures the deprivation state of migrant workers from two aspects--absolute deprivation degree and relative deprivation perception, divides the political support into three levels: political authority support, political performance support andpolitical institution support.Using the data of Chinese Social Survey2017(CSS 2017),this paper selects the data set of migrant workers for quantitative study. This paper finds that many migrant workers are in an absolute deprivation state because their families are in a state where they can't make ends meet and don't enjoy any social security, and the relative deprivation of them is higher than the average level;the political support of migrant workers is generally in a medium level, but still lower than the average level of other groups. This paper first examines the correlation between the degree of absolute deprivation and the relative deprivation and the three sub variables of political support(political authority support, political performance support, political institution support). The results show that there are significant correlations between the degree of absolute deprivation and the relative deprivation and the three sub variables of political support, which means that the sense of deprivation can significantly affect political support. In the model analysis, this paper uses OLS linear regression model to test the relationship between variables, and then uses binary logit model to test the robustness. The results of model analysis confirm that absolute deprivation and relative deprivation are important factors that affect the political support of migrant workers, that is,both kinds of deprivation will be easily politicized. And the higher the degree of absolute deprivation and the relative sense of deprivation, the lower the political support. In addition, this paper further investigates the factors lead to the deprivation of migrant workers and analyzes the internal mechanism why deprivation is politicized. This paper finds that the problem of absolute deprivation of migrant workers mainly comes from the long working hours, low wages and social security vacancy. The relative deprivation mainly comes from dissatisfaction with personal development, unfair treatment and experience of being discriminated.Through interviews,we further verify that these factors will have an impact on the political support of migrant workers. In addition, this paper argues that politicization of the the deprivation of migrant workers is the result of the interaction between the vulnerable status of migrant workers and the strong government model.
