Research On The Participation Of College Students In The Campus Network Public Opinion

The development of the Internet technology is ultimately the continued development of information dissemination.Throughout history,there has been no other technology nor its application developed as rapidly as the Internet,and has such a broad implication to the work,study,life,consumption as well as the communication methods of human beings.On 21 July 2014,the 34th Statistical Report on Internet Development in China states that as of June 2014,the Chinese netizens has reached 632 million;of which,527 million are mobile phone users.The Internet penetration rate has reached 46.9 percent and two thirds of the Weibo users are young and middle aged users,ranging from 18 to 36 years old.Apparently,college students have become the backbone force of the Internet society.They are more likely to be active in thinking and focus on social justice with strong perception and critical spirit as well as strong willingness to express their opinions.Moreover,they are proficient in various kinds of Internet multimedia technologies,and capable of establishing virtual social network with inter-collaboration,which can produce great public opinion energy on the internet within a short time.Those young netizens,the majority of which are students in the campus,are named as "New Opinion Class" by the Chinese society.Today,on the basis of improving the education quality,Chinese colleges and universities make efforts to modernize the software of teaching and research environment,gradually accelerate the construction and improvement of the campus network.The level of informatization in the universities has been increased steadily and a mature university campus network information dissemination system has been gradually established,which provides technical support for participation of college students in the campus network public.Without the need of considering the differences of gender,age,appearance and social class and without the constrains of time and place,anyone who has computer,mobile or any other facilities could be connected to the Internet can receive or publish information freely and participate in the communication on the Internet,which become the well distinguished College Network Public Opinion Behavior.However,for some students lack the ability of judging right and wrong,blindly following the trend,and it is prone to cause intability and disharmony campus events in the absence of effective supervision and reasonably constrained circumstances.Therefore,analyzing the basic connotation,main features,influencing factors of college students involved in campus network of public opinion,investigating the current situation,exploring the causes and solutions accordingly would help the college students to mitigate the negative implication of the Internet and at the same time foster the correct outlook and values,which enable them to be devoted to their study in a positive and healthy status and become the pillars of the new era.These proposals will play a positive role in enhancing the management of campus network public opinion.
