Research On The Influence Of Emotional Intelligence On College Students Entrepreneurial Potential And The Action Mechanism

In recent years,the problem of unemployment has swept the globe.The young people especially have great difficulties in job hunting.Meanwhile,combined with our economy transition from the high-speed development channel to low speed steady development,the unemployment has become a difficulty social problem.Investigating on the problem implies two reasons.On the one hand,the fledgling college student lack of work experience,only equipped with school education is not enough to cope with the pressure of employment.On the other hand,most college students lack of career maturity and confidence which is regarding with the career related decisions.In turn,they can't make reasonable career choice and also give up trying to start a business in psychological.In terms of entrepreneurship,this paper focuses on risk-taking and internal locus of control associated with entrepreneur potential.In addition,individual with high emotional intelligence can integrate emotional experience to thoughts and actions and then predict the individual career success.Therefore,this article research mainly focuses on the emotional intelligence,career maturity and entrepreneurial potential of college students.In the field of entrepreneurship research,many scholars research on the personality traits of successful and potential entrepreneurs as the dependent variables.They found that emotional intelligence can effectively predict the entrepreneurial potential of college students and related entrepreneurial activity.Thus,the author proposes that the emotional intelligence of college students have a positive impact on their entrepreneurial potential.In addition,the emotional awareness,understanding,regulation and management of individual can be helpful the process of career exploration and career choice.The attitude and emotional response to career decision-making is a significant characteristic of career maturity.Entrepreneurship as a kind of career choice,it not only contains opportunities,but also lurks huge risk.High level of career maturity of college student can improve their confidence on the career choice and have objective cognitions on risk.At last,it enhances college students' risk tolerance to some extent.As a consequence,this research also believes that emotional intelligence may impact on college students'entrepreneurial potential through the mediation of career maturity.This paper takes the undergraduate students of business school Nanjing University as the research samples.Through the assessment of emotional intelligence,career maturity and entrepreneurial potential,the author receives 327 valid questionnaire responses.It is the research data to support the empirical part.After that,the author makes use of the SPSS statistical analysis software to analyze the collected data.The results support the all hypotheses proposed in this paper.At the end of the article,the author reviews the conclusion of this study.On the basis of empirical research,the author puts forward the possible theoretical contribution and practical significance.Meanwhile,the author also points out the shortcoming of this study and makes prospects on the future research...
