After reviewing former empirical and theoretical studies,as well as the practical experience and backgrounds in China, this study chose the fresh graduates as the research object, and took individual career maturity, emotional intelligence and social vocational interest as the pointcuts to figure out the feasible approaches to maximize the job-hunting success possibility and to narrow the gap between the job students had got and that they desired to get,by discovering the relationship and mechanism between individuals' career maturity, emotional intelligence, social vocational interest and their job attainment, including the fact that whether they had got an offer or not,as well as that to what degree they felt the job they had got matched up with their anticipation, based on the Theory of Planned Behavior and the Theory of Social Adaptation. In this study,we combined the redesigned Career Maturity Self-Rating Scale by Prof.Zhang,WLEIS,and the Scale of Occupational Interests raised by Prof.Wong together and formed a survey with good confidence and validity for the data collection. We measured individuals' job attainment from two scales, job acquisition or not for the quantity level and job agreement for the quality level. We explored and examined the relationship and mechanism between different variables by utilizing SPSS to conduct the Independent-Samples T Test, the Correlation Analysis and the Regression Analysis. The results indicated that the higher individuals' career maturity was,the greater possibility they had to find a desirable job successfully.Besides,Individuals' emotional intelligence and social vocational interest would significantly increase the possibility to find a job. Moreover, emotional intelligence showed the full mediation between career maturity and job agreement, while social vocational interest seemed to be non-effective.In this study,we measured the job attainment from both the perspective of quantity as well as the quality, and innovatively analyzed the mechanism between career maturity, emotional intelligence, social vocational interest, and job attainment through empirical research based on the Theory of Planned Behavior and the Theory of Social Adaptation. Not only does this study test and verify the subjective judgment that individuals' career maturity, emotional intelligence and social vocational interest are of great help for them to get their dream jobs, but also enrich the empirical research on career maturity, provide a new perspective to dig out the reason and probable solutions to the fresh college students' employment, and expand the application in empirical research of the Theory of Planned Behavior and the Theory of Social Adaptation.Meanwhile, according to the analysis and results,we suggest that it should be effective to enhance fresh college graduates' employability and improve the perceived job attainment,by,for example, developing the career maturity and emotional intelligence of the college fresh graduates, finding their vocational interest and determining their job orientation based on personal traits, accumulating professional skills, building professional network, conducting thorough preparation before the interview and so forth.
