The textbook directly reflects the curriculum standard,directly affect the students' cognitive process,as China's basic education curriculum reform,the implementation of "key links" has a comparative study on the textbooks has gradually become one of the hot issues in the research of mathematics education.The related research has made great progress,but the comparative study based on the "four base"goal of the textbook is still relatively less,this paper selects Chinese "PEP Edition "and the "California edition" primary school mathematics textbooks as the research object,with the "four base" as the main line,starting from the basic knowledge and basic skills.Comparative analysis of curriculum,structure and teaching content of the two edition of the system,then compare to the basic mathematical ideas two edition in the presentation and basic activity experience type,situation,typical case finally selects two editions of textbooks,carried out in-depth comparative analysis.To clear the similarities and differences between the two edition of primary school mathematics textbooks,in the reflection on basis of analysis,found the advantage of China's textbooks and shortcomings,put forward some improvement suggestions,provide a reference for the preparation of the primary school mathematics textbooks in china.Through the comparative analysis of primary school mathematics textbooks between China and the United States,the main conclusions are as follows:(1)curriculum standard:the United States to "precise expression" as one of the specific goals of students' mathematical expression ability,clear requirements,curriculum standard of our country has no specific target mathematical expression ability are listed separately,nor put forward clear requirements.(2)the structure of the teaching material:the content of the California edition is richer than that of the PEP version,such as the various types of mathematical games and the strategy of problem solving.Teaching contents:(3)computing PEP requirements higher than the California version;the California version of "graphics and geometry" content than PEP,on students'drawing ability and expression ability requirements are higher;California version will set students to collect data in many chapters and solve the practical problems of the module is not limited to "statistics and probability" section.(4)the basic idea:the setting of the background is more conducive to the abstract mathematical thinking;the application of the California version of the number of rays is easy to present the basic ideas.(5)basic activity experience:the number and type of mathematics activities in California edition textbooks are higher than those of the pep.Based on the research,this paper puts forward the following suggestions for the compilation of primary school mathematics textbooks in China:(1)to improve the cultivation of language expression ability.(2)enrich the teaching content structure.(3)attach importance to the basic idea of mathematics.(4)increase the number and type of mathematical activity.
