As an important part of teaching practice,teaching evaluation is emphasized.Teachers should pay more attention to how they evaluate.Compared with summarised evaluation,formative assessment pays more attention to the process rather than the result,aims to have a good knowledge of current teaching,motivate the development of students in learning,and help the teacher improve teaching methods.This article which is based on the educational system of Thailand and the theory of formative assessment both at home and abroad,combing the teaching practice in Wittayanukulnaree School is devoted to examing the effective evaluating means and the positive role of formative assessment.The students whose major is Chinese are the object of the study.We will evaluate four competences:Speaking,reading,wring and self-learning.The process of assessment combining the research achievement of formative assessment,teaching experiences and the thought about assessment system in Wittayanukulnaree School is divided into three parts:design assessment,put assessment into effect and summarize the assessment.This paper collects the data through questionaires,interviews,observation and other forms of assessment.According to the data we analyze,teachers can master the knowledge of learning conditions with effective feedback in order to improve teaching techniques.we find that its positive effects through the application in Chinese teaching practice.This thesis shows that formative assessment is suitable for students learning Chinese in Thailand.The research combining with the educational teaching philosophy of Thailand will be more scientific and practical.Besides,Teachers can have a good knowledge of students and promote teaching through the record of learning conditions collected in the process of formative assessment.It proves that formative assessment used in Chinese comprehensive course can improve students' speaking ability,reading ability and wring ability.At the same time,it improves learning anxiety,especially promote those students' whose Chinese is not so good confidence.it enhances students learning autonomy.At last,it turns out to be that there will be a harmonious relationship between teacher and students.In a word,It proves that formative assessment will be of great benefit to improving teaching and learning.
