Discourse Game On Topic Of Homosexual Under The Internet Public Sphere

Gay community is part of the social,but as sexual minorities have always been excluded and repressed by the mainstream social.Homosexuality as the marginalized people,on one hand,at a disadvantage of the accessibility to the media,can't disseminate homosexual subculture as insiders in the organization of mass media,and there is a limitation to the audience,intercultural communication effect of the gay alternative media is very limited;Gay groups,on the other hand,by the mainstream media consciously or unconsciously have been shaped as “the other”,alternative and weird images directly led to unspecified and wrong perception for the gay community of the public.Internet public sphere along with the Internet technology can provide a new channel to talk and engage with the public.Internet public sphere not only can clearly and truly show the opinions of gay boycott and gay acceptors,also can let the gay community directly and equally talk with the mainstream,breaking the mutual isolation,and improving the effective communication of two cultures,in order to promote the mutual understanding and tolerance of two cultural groups.Unfortunately,the current research of gay and lesbian discourse under internet public sphere is relatively lacking.The existing research on internet public sphere,are mainly concentrated in characteristics,functions and constructions,and the studies of gay and lesbian discourse focus on media discourse,macro perspective discourse,etc.The results of these studiesare the foundation and inspiration for discourse game on gay issues under the internet public sphere word,but there are still some gaps and omissions.Different with previous research regarding internet public sphere as the object of study,the thesis took internet public sphere as a medium to do the discourse analysis on the topic of homosexual,based on three-dimensional discourse analysis model of Fairclough which includestextual analysis,discursive practice,social practice.In the textual analysis,combined with the method of content analysis,the thesis explored the discursive characteristic and perception of the homosexual discourse(first chapter),exploring theopinions and knowledge of netizens(a sense of the public)on gay issues,to some extent it can be said to know the whole society's attitudes toward gay groups in China,which expanded the research scope of gays from past research.In the discursive practice,the thesis examined the influence of discourse subject to discourse production and the constructions of homosexual acceptant discourse and homosexualresistant discourse(chapter 2).In the social practice,based on macroscopicand overall perspective,what effects the media environment and social cultural environment have to the general perception on gay groups have been analyzed(chapter 3),finding the causes from the perspective of criticism.Through three dimensions analysis from the table to the distinguished,the thesis clearly showed the public's attitudes and perception toward gay groups,and the deep reason of these perception,and put forward five discursive strategy to homosexual disseminators who determine to improve the propagation condition of the homosexual subculture(chapter 4),as to enhance the communication between the mainstream culture and homosexual subculture through the internet public sphere.Textual analysis found that there were vie for some words,imbalance of sex ratio and enrichment under the effect of ACGN culture in the use of gay appellations.In the use of rhetoric,homosexualacceptantdiscourse did not show the weak,but still be boycotted by homosexualresistant discourse,presenting agame relation of alternative resistance and authoritative mainstream.In the level of politeness,homosexual acceptant discourse showed slight resistance,not as good as the distinct hegemony ? of homosexual resistant discourse.At the same time,the homosexual discourse under internet public sphere showed the attitudes towards homosexuality had beenin a kind of steady state under multiple factors,there had been no obvious changes in ten years,with acceptant attitude slightly higher than the resistance.Specific to their respective point of view,the homosexualacceptant discoursehad counter-discourse,true love discourse,tongqi(tongfu)discourse,existence discourse,harmless discourse and innate discourse;the homosexual resistant discoursehad moral discourse,natural discourse,AIDS discourse,sexual discourse,diseasediscourse and covering discourse,both opinions ininternet public sphereforming the situation of rival.On the whole,there were deficiency of netizens' perception to homosexuality,including the legal status of gay,sexual behaviorof same-sex,sex appeal of gay,role of gay couples and distribution of gay and lesbian.In the discursive practice of homosexual discourse,the thesis found that homosexualacceptant discoursetried to get rid of the identity of marginal groups with gay appellation,to construct the public's perception of gay love theorywith true love discourse,mainly to call for anti-discrimination of homosexuality,rarely involving political discourse such as legal rights and interests.On the other side,homosexual resistant discourse made gay objectification with rhetoric of “gairanxing” verbs,shaped gay as "the other",constructedthat gay had always been all about sexwith satire and sexual discourse,to consolidate heterosexual center position with varieties of rhetoric and discourse type.In the social practice combinedwith analysis of macro background,the thesis found that homosexual discourse under the internet public sphere was affected by the contents of the news reports as well as overall media image of gay and the medium framework of gay issues.Homosexuality challengedsexual morals and filial piety in Chinese traditional values,gender roles and gender structure of gender culture,which was the main reason for the homosexualresistant discourse.And heterosexual hegemony made homosexualresistant discourse much stronger.Finally the thesis put forward five strategies to homosexual disseminators,respectively is to use invitational rhetoric,to make universality the priority,to follow the politeness principle,to deconstruct social gender culture,to construct scientific perception,which were used to improve the communication effect of homosexual subculture in internet public sphere,striving for more social understanding and tolerance forhomosexuals.
