With the continuous advance of China's reform and opening and internationalization, there is an increasing number of people emigrating to other countries.Because of work, they would send their children who were born abroad back to China. Therefore,we call this special group left-behind children whose parent or parents work abroad.During resocialization, these foreign children brought up by their grandparents in China are faced with many problems, such as poor academic performance, eccentric disposition, behavioral biases, poor ability to adapt to society and distant genetic connection, etc. To solve these problems is of great importance to soothing emotions of left-behind children, improving their sense of security and helping them to better adapt to life abroad and with their future development.Meanwhile,it also means much practical significance to China's cause of preschool education and overseas Chinese affairs. At present, there are few researches in this aspect in China. Therefore, taking the left-behind children and their families in Tingjiang Town of Fuzhou as object,I hope to help them integrate into society and put forward the basic theory about involvement of social workers through the implementation and application of specific social service plan.Based on literature analysis and field research, this thesis introduces the social and historical background of these left-behind children, their current condition of life and study in Tingjiang Town and discusses how this problem arises and its practical needs. What's more, according to the idea of front service, professional skills of social work are used to carry out team activities in kindergartens and primary schools under the guidance of theories about cross-cultural adaptation, resocialization, and social working groups. After that, pay a return visit to every family and get involved in the transition from infancy to pupilage of these left-behind children to help them acquire the capabilities in communication, emotional expression, learning, language skills and social adaptation, etc.and enable them to be well integrated into a new country academically, psychologically and culturally. Finally, promote the education required in the 13th Five-Year Plan--involvement of social work in the scientific development of left-behind children.
