"Reading and writing lesson" curriculum reform conducted by X primary school of ZhuHai which aims at improving students'independent reading ability.The purpose of this research is to learn about the validity of this curriculum on cultivating students'independent reading ability by analyzing the connotation and some reading lessons examples of this curriculum and the comparison of students'questionnaire survey and reading tests.The research finds some problems in the curriculum implementation process and raises some appropriate countermeasures.The strategies to perfect this curriculum are put forward to improve students' independent reading ability on the basis of existing.The main way to do this research are questionnaire survey,interviewing and classroom observation which can collect and analyze the relevant information.The study found that through the "Reading and writing lesson"curriculum,the students' independent reading ability is improved which shows up at the improved evaluation on the students own independent reading ability and reading test scores.there are some problems in the curriculum implementation process:the single depth of curriculum integration form and reading material;the vadility of the group cooperative learning;the consummation of curriculum evaluation system;the insufficiency of teachers' role conversion.The research raises some appropriate countermeasures.Through the analysis of the above research,based on "reading and writing lesson" the improvement of students' reading ability training strategy is proposed which is from the aspects of schools,teachers,students and families based on the original.
