Purpose: The purpose of this study is to improve the maximum strength and to explore the influence between chains squat and traditional squat on the maximum force and explosive force training effects.Methods: Twenty subjects were randomly divided into two groups,the chains squat group and the traditional squat group,training different squat 6 weeks,twice per week.The training load of the traditional group was 85 % 1RM.The fixed load of the chains group was 70 % 1RM and the change load of the chains was 30 % 1RM.So the overall average load was 85 % 1RM,too.Five sets were trained each time,5 repetitions in each set and 2-3 minutes intermittently.Before and after training,1RM,height of countermovement jump and isokinetic muscle strength of knee and hip were measured,and the data were processed by SPSS19.0 software with double factors repeated measurement variance analysis and univariate covariance analysis.Results: After six-week squat training,the 1RM of the chains squat group and the traditional squat group both increased significantly.And the single factor covariance analysis of 1RM showed that there was no difference between groups.The height of vertical jump was significantly increased in both groups.RFD was increased significantly in chains squat group and there was no change in traditional group after training.There was no difference between groups in the height of vertical jump and RFD.Under the 60 °/ s speed,the isokinetic torque showed that the extension and flexion torque of the right knee in the chain group were obviously increased(p < 0.05),and there are trends of increase in the extension and flexion torque of the left knee.In the traditional group,the flexion torque of the left knee increased significantly(p < 0.05),the extension and flexion torque of the right knee did not change,and the extension torque of the left knee did not change,too.The ratio of flexion and extension of knee joint(H / Q)did not change in both sides of the chain group,but the left knee joint in the traditional group was significantly improved.The extension torque of hip joint in the chain group was significantly improved in both sides,only left side increased in the traditional group.Under the 180 °/ s speed,most indexes in chains group were improved,but the improvement in traditional group was not obvious.There was no difference between groups,but compared with the traditional group,the chains group showed a trend of significant improvement.Conclusions: 6 weeks strength training,chains squat and traditional squat can both improve 1RM and vertical jump height,and the training effect is the same.Chains squat can improve the development rate of force,knee and hip joint flexion and extension torque and power.Its training effect is not different from the traditional squat,but the overall effect in chains squat is better.
