The Study On The Development Of The Internationalization Of Shaanxi University

The internationalization of education is an inevitable trend in the era of globalization.At present,China is in a critical period of economic transition and opening up to the outside world,and it is in urgent need of a large number of highly qualified personnel with an international perspective.This requires that our university further enhance the level of internationalization.As a major province of higher education in China,Shaanxi Province is an important talent cultivation base in the northwest region.Therefore,the analysis and exploration of the level of internationalization of Shaanxi University and the proposal of targeted development are important for speeding up the process of internationalization of universities in Shaanxi Province and cultivating high-quality international talents.First of all,through the analysis of literature and the related theories of the internationalization of higher education,this article proposes the evaluation index system for the internationalization of universities in Shaanxi Province.The index system includes the internationalization of development strategies,the internationalization of organization and management,the internationalization of personnel exchanges,and the internationalization of scientific research.Internationalization of the curriculum,internationalization of the campus,cooperation and exchange between China and foreign countries,and the degree of internationalization of graduates,among which the index of internationalization of graduates is the first of its kind.Then,using this indicator system,the province's five universities were taken as examples to explore the current status of the development of the universities in Shaanxi Province.Secondly,it compares with two major education provinces(cities)in Beijing and Shanghai,Sichuan and Hubei provinces adjacent to Shaanxi,and has a more comprehensive grasp of the level of internationalization of Shaanxi universities.The study found that the development of the internationalization of Shaanxi University has achieved good results,but there are also many development issues.Thirdly,the internal and external analysis methods are used to explore the causes of the development problems.It is concluded that the external reasons are geographical location and environmental factors;and the economic development is backward.The internal reason is the lack of development concepts,the lack of attention to the status of internationalization as a university function,the low level of academic research in universities and the low international reputation,and the lack of human capital and the lack of high-quality international talents.Finally,the development advantages and strategic ideas of the internationalization ofShaanxi University are put forward.At present,Shaanxi University ' s development advantages include historical and cultural advantages — a unique historical and humanistic environment;policy advantages —the “One Belt and One Road ” strategy;educational resource advantages — rich higher education resources and the dominant disciplines of universities.It also proposes the strategic thinking for the development of the universities in Shaanxi Province.First,establish strategic objectives: establish an international development concept and build the concept of development of a world-class university;second,determine the strategic implementation strategy: strengthen the internationalization of curriculum and teachers,Improve the education system for international students,actively carry out international cooperation,and pay attention to the international management and construction of the campus;and thirdly,determine the strategic guarantees: that is,to form loose and perfect policies,regulations,and multi-channel funding support.
