Shaanxi Province, College International Education Development Research

Currently, the education of foreign students has become an important part of the Internationalization of Higher Education. Because of its important political, economic and cultural functions, the education of foreign students augured universal attention of countries in the world. Our foreign student education work always gets the party and the government's attention. Our government has a high regard to the foreign students education all the times. Under the guidance of the "Expand scale, promote level, guarantee quality, and regulate management" 16-character guideline, the scale of foreign students education expanding successively and level enhances unceasingly.Under the great-leap-forward development background of foreign students education, how to realize the foreign students education history in Shaanxi province, to grasp its real condition and characteristics and to clarify its restriction factors, so as to take the best advantage of Shaanxi province's education resources, cultural resources, tourist resources and technological resources, to stimulate the developing potential in foreign students education, and further promote its healthy and fast development is the problem that we should pay attention to.By adopting the research methods of literature study, questionnaire, and expert interview, this thesis vertically combed the development history of foreign students' education in Shaanxi province. At the same time, I selected two universities of Shaanxi for sample to make depth study transversely. On this basis, summarized the basic characteristics of Shaanxi province's foreign students' education, and analyzed the advantage factors and limiting factors of this education in Shaanxi province, and puts forward certain specific strategies to promote the development of foreign students' education in Shaanxi province's colleges and universities.The framework of this research is as follows:Part one, the preface. This part mainly introduces the reason of choose the theme, research value, research actualities, research mentality, the theoretical background and research methods.Part two, analysis on the present condition of foreign students' education in colleges and universities in Shaanxi province. This part divides the history of foreign students' education in colleges and universities in Shaanxi province into four stages, and vertically combed each stage's development background, situation and characteristics. And transversely select Shaanxi normal university and Xi'an Jiaotong University as study case, through expert interview and data analysis, analyze the characteristics of foreign students'education in colleges and universities in Shaanxi province.Part three, the influence factors and existing problems of foreign students'education of the colleges and universities in Shaanxi province. Based on the research above, this part analyzes the advantage factors and limited factors of foreign students' education of the colleges and universities in Shaanxi province. And reveals the existing problems of foreign students' education of the colleges and universities in Shaanxi province from these three aspects:recruitment channels and recruitment propaganda of colleges and universities, management system and institution, the teaching staff and management team.Part four, the research on the measures to promote the development of international education in Shaanxi province. This part puts forward five measures to promote the development of foreign students education in Shaanxi province, including:to give full play to the advantages of Shaanxi tourism culture; to create good environment for the education of international students; to perfect the system construction of scholarship for foreign students; to expand the recruitment channels, to take advantage of superiority in discipline.
