In recent years,the research results of career education have been increasing,it has provided new perspectives and values for the study of this discipline in theory,and it is beneficial to the educational authorities and researchers to reflect and summarize in practice.Therefore,this article systematically and comprehensively collates and statistics relevant research results of career education in China in the past decade.Clarify the current achievements and existing problems in China's career education research,and look into the direction of future research in this area.This study uses the Chinese periodical full-text databases in the CNKI series database as the search source,and uses topic keywords as the search item.It has collected 13,377 articles on the research status of career education in China from 2008 to 2018.The paper mainly uses the research methods of content analysis and comparative analysis.The statistics and analysis of literature were carried out from the number of documents,scientific research project funding,keywords,research topics,research methods,research authors,and citations.Finally,the literature data are classified and analyzed,to analyze the development and content differences of career education research in China.According to data statistics and analysis results,in the past decade,the number of research literature on career education has shown an overall upward trend,peaking in 2017 with a total of 1,905 articles.For the analysis of scientific research projects,the number of scientific research projects has shown an upward trend,which indicates that professional career education has received a higher degree of attention.And the degree of attention of various provinces and municipalities has been significantly different: four provinces,Jiangsu,Hunan,Henan,and Zhejiang have relatively more research investment in career education research.For the analysis of the key words,the research of career education mainly focuses on employment guidance and career guidance.And the level of research mainly focuses on colleges and higher vocational colleges,ignores the research on career education in the compulsory education stage.For the analysis of research themes,the main focus is on problem-based research.For the analysis of research methods,most of them use speculative research,the proportion of quantitative research and mixed research is relatively small,and the diversity of research methods needs to be improved.For the analysis of the authors,the researchers are more disperse and the number of researchers is large,at the same time,the direction of research is weak and professionals are lacking.For the analysis of citations,Chinese journals and books account for a very large proportion of the total number of citations,and the citation rate of foreign literature is relatively low.Finally,on the basis of empirical analysis,this study sums up the achievements made in the study of career education in China in the past decade,and points out the deficiencies in the research and the prospects of future career education research in China.
