With the development of the society and economic of our country, therequirement of labor quality is getting higher and higher, the reformation ofsecondary education is carrying forward. In order to enhance the physicalquality and healthy status of students, bold reformation of PE and PEconsciousness need to be carried on. This paper starts from the research ofPE teaching content and method’s reform status of Qingdao secondaryvocational schools and study on current status of PE teaching content andteaching method of partial secondary vocational schools in Qingdao city tosum up experiences and discover shortages, and to provide theory andpractice reference to the reformation of secondary education. This paperanalyzes the selected topic by means of data analyzing, expert interview,interview survey and mathematical statistics. Making survey on leaders, PEteachers and students from8secondary vocational schools in Qingdao cityand there are altogether480questionnaires for students and56questionnaires for PE teachers on aspects of teaching theory, teachingcontents, teaching methods teaching evaluation and teaching management.The results of research are as followed:1. Most students of secondary vocational school are not aware the truemeaning and learning motivation of PE and lack of deep awareness of itscontents. Therefore they lose interest of PE class and are not active involved.2. The traditional teaching contents only reflect part aspects of PE such asparticipating in physical activities, strengthening physical ability and physicaltechniques, but not reflect professional quality, mental health and physicalactivities related with professional training. The facts that students only learnlittle physical knowledge in PE class and they are lack of initiative alsoinfluence PE. Therefore PE teaching contents drop out and are not closelylinked with the character that focus on practice and profession, also do notembody guidance quality, practicability, adaptability and the target of professional quality.3. The traditional PE teaching mode according to natrual classes is lack ofindividuality of secondary vocational school. The traditional teaching methodsare not in conformity with the characters of secondary vocational schoolstudents, and the students are not interested in it.4.There is no dementia instructional evaluation towards PE, while thetraditional evaluation based on teachers’ evaluation without students’ self-evaluation.
