With the rise of the critical thinking movement of the United States in the 1970 s,philosophy for children was born.In the late 1990 s,China began to implement a child philosophy course.As a new thing,the philosophy for children has encountered obstacles for its development in China.This thesis mainly used documentary analysis,case analysis and comparative analysis method to explore the resistance and difficulties of philosophy for children.Combined with the case,the thesis put forward some solutions.This thesis mainly focus on solving the following problems: What is philosophy for children? Why was the sinicization of philosophy for children proposed? What were the problems of the curriculum? How to overcome them?.For the purpose of this these,the study mainly included the following six parts:The first part was the introduction,which introduced the background,significance and purpose of the research.This part has concluded the current research status on philosophy for children and determined the research contents and research methods on the basis of summing up the outstanding achievements of the predecessors,and then defined the key concepts of “philosophy for children” and “the sinicization of philosophy for children”.The second part introduced the origin of sinicization of philosophy for children.The main reason was due to the translation of American philosophy for children,the national self-determination of the curriculum and the lessons of curriculum reform in China.The third part revealed the plight of the sinicization of philosophy for children: slow implementation and some challenges.The forth part analyzed the reason of the plight of the sinicization of philosophy for children curriculum:one was the lack of implementation strength,the other was the restriction of teachers' quality.The last chapter focused on the successful teaching experience both at home and abroad,summarizing four strategies: the first was to strengthen the administrative decision-making,the second was to establish professional teacher training system,the next was to carry out the curriculum promotion,finally,to establish philosophy for children Association.
