Chinese education is the combination of the two terms "language" and"education." The direct purpose of Chinese education is to cultivate people who enrich with knowledge attainment of Chinese and can transmit the knowledge they have learned.Through their unremitting efforts,generations of educators have realized the construction and perfection of the thought of Chinese language education.One of the greatest educators in the modern times of China is Mr.Cai Yuanpei.Not only he has his own unique educational thoughts on Chinese education,but also has unique achievements in many aspects including aesthetic education,moral education and women's education,which has provided important guiding role for the development of education and the improvement of educational theory in China.Therefore,the research of Cai Yuanpei' s thought on Chinese education is of great significance to the study for the thought on Chinese education and the understanding of Chinese discipline education history in China.Although there are many research articles on Cai Yuanpei in the academia,most of them focus on the overall research of the educational thoughts,especially,there are many research achievements on aesthetic education thought.The results of the research of thought on Chinese education are relatively limited and the number of relevant literature in the last three years is less.Along with the development of the time,the contemporary influence of Cai Yuanpei's thoughts on Chinese education have new embodiment.As a result,under such research background,the study of this article is of value and necessity.The research mainly focuses on the theory and propositions of Chinese discipline in Cai Yuanpei's educational thoughts.Through the combination of literature material method,comparative study method and inductive deductive method,the background of formation of Cai Yuanpei's thought on Chinese education is briefly described.The discussion of the connotation of Cai Yuanpei's specific thoughts on Chinese discipline education,then it conducts a comparison of thoughts on Chinese education between Cai Yuanpei,Hu Shi and Zhu Ziqing,and entity master the influence and existing limitations of Cai Yuanpei's thoughts on Chinese education at that time and in the present.From the perspective of research content,the first part of the thesis will analyze the background,significance and purpose of Cai Yuanpei's research on the thoughts of Chinese education to understand the research status in domestic academia and the existing insufficiency,and apply appropriate methods to provide ideas arrangement and content summary for later research.In the second chapter,as for the background of the formation of Cai Yuanpei's thoughts on Chinese education,it gets to understand the reasons for its formation from three aspects of his personal life experience,learning experience and the background of the time.At the same time,conducting the entity overview of the Chinese education trends during the Republic of China,which will bring new understanding of Cai Yuanpei's thoughts on Chinese education.The third chapter analyzes Cai Yuanpei's concrete thoughts on Chinese education,from the abolish of scriptures to improve the status of the national language;emphasizes vernacular,does not completely deny classical Chinese;enhance the practicality the Chinese content;teaching students according to their aptitude and respects individual development,from such aspects to entity understand Cai Yuanpei' s thoughts on Chinese education.In addition,understanding the extension concept of Cai Yuanpei's thoughts on Chinese education,from three perspectives of both liberal carts and sciences,comprehensive development;Cai Yuzanpei's teacher-student relationship theory to have an understanding of Cai Yuanpei's other educational ideas.In order to better understand the differences between Cai Yuanpei's thoughts on Chinese education and other educators at the same period,the Chinese discipline thought of two educators of Zhu Ziqing and Hu Shi has been discussed,through which the similarities and differences between the two and Cai Yuanpei in the Chinese discipline have been found out in the contrast.Thinking about the limitations of Cai Yuanpei's thoughts on Chinese education for the Chinese education at that time and modern Chinese.Finally in the fourth chapter,it analyzes the significance and inspiration of Cai Yuanpei's thoughts on Chinese education in contemporary educational field.In this thesis,Cai Yuanpei's thoughts on Chinese education has been pluaced in the background of his area and the educational background at that time.It tries to research the content of Cai Yuanpei' s thoughts on Chinese education and its forming process,hoping to make the research results more comprehensive and has higher accuracy.
