Mathematical reasoning is a form of thinking that deduces a new proposition from one or more mathematical propositions.This form of thinking can be said to be ubiquitous in mathematics.From the point of view of mathematics itself,mathematical reasoning reflects a basic mathematical thought and a main mathematical method.It is closely related to mathematical proof and forms the most important foundation of mathematics.In mathematics study,it is very important to cultivate students' mathematical reasoning ability.This paper is a theoretical and empirical study on the ability of mathematical reasoning in high school students.Based on a large number of relevant literature studies,this paper focuses on the development of mathematical reasoning ability of high school students.(1)Through the questionnaire survey of students,we can understand the development of mathematical reasoning ability of senior high school students and the problems existing in the development of mathematical reasoning ability of senior high school students.(2)Analyzing the common reasoning errors in students' problem solving,and discussing the causes of them.(3)Based on the analysis of the present situation of students' mathematical reasoning ability and the reasoning problems existing in solving problems at ordinary times,this paper puts forward some suggestions to promote the cultivation of senior high school students' mathematical reasoning ability,and makes a further study on it through examples.To this,the author unifies own practice,unfolds the following theory and practice research.First of all,according to the relevant literature,the related theory is studied and studied in depth,and the related concepts are briefly discussed,which provides a theoretical basis for empirical research.Secondly,it mainly adopts the method of questionnaire to investigate and study some students of a demonstration high school in Henan Province on the aspect of mathematical reasoning ability,and carries on the statistical analysis to the survey data.To understand the basic situation of students' mathematics learning and the development of mathematical reasoning ability,and analyze the problems existing in the development of senior high school students' mathematical reasoning ability.Through the analysis of the questionnaire,the main conclusions are as follows:(1)Generally speaking,students pay more attention to the cultivation of mathematical reasoning ability.(2)The students' mathematical reasoning ability has reached a certain level,but it is necessary to further develop and improve it.(3)Students' reasonable reasoning ability(induction,analogy)and deductive reasoning ability develop unevenly.(4)There are many factors that affect the development of students' mathematical reasoning ability,including the understanding and mastering of basic knowledge,the understanding and application of mathematical thinking methods,the adjustment of psychological quality,the study habit and so on.In addition,on the basis of this study,the author combines the observation of the students' learning situation in the practice work,makes a simple summary and classifies the mistakes of the students in the process of solving the problem,and chooses the examples of individual reasoning errors in them to do the proper analysis and examination.Learning will help.Finally,according to the research and analysis,from the student development,the use of teaching materials,classroom teaching and problem-solving research,put forward four aspects of training senior high school students' mathematical reasoning ability.And through two examples of high school students to explore the development of mathematical reasoning ability.
