Deductive inference and plausible reasoning are two important ways of reasoning and proof in Mathematics.In a very long period of time,mathematics educators in our country tend to use strict and formal deductive reasoning to develop the students' ability of mathematics learning and mathematics application,however,they ignore the development of students' reasoning ability.With the implementation of the new curriculum reform,the role and significance of plausible reasoning in mathematics teaching attracts more and more attention of teachers.Under the new curriculum reform,the concept of “reasonable inference” was clearly proposed in mathematics textbook for the first time.In the Ordinary High School Mathematics Curriculum Standard(The following is simply called Standard),which is on the basis of mathematics curriculum attaches importance to deductive reasoning,further proposes that teachers should develop the plausible reasoning ability of students.This article first defines reasonable inference,and then briefly summarizes meaning and function related to the main form of plausible reasoning such as induction,analogy,association and intuition.Secondly,this study selected a part of mathematics teachers and some high school students in Qin'an No.1 Senior Middle School as the research object.Through the survey of teachers the main conclusions are as follows:(1)Teachers hold a positive attitude for the introduction of plausible reasoning in teaching materials;(2)Teachers generally think plausible reasoning teaching can promote students' learning ability and application ability;(3)Teachers are still confused about how to cultivate students' reasoning ability in each chapter.Through classroom observation and detection of the questionnaire for students I found:(1)Students' reasoning ability is generally low;they can not consciously use plausible reasoning in the process of problem-solving;(2)There are some differences about plausible reasoning ability between senior one students and senior two students,but not obvious;(3)There are some differences in the reasoning ability of students from different levels of the same grade classes,but not obvious;(4)Plausible reasoning ability was no significant difference between boys and girls.Through above research this article puts forward the following suggestions for teachers:(1)Change their educational ideas and strengthen the use of plausible reasoning method;(2)Design problem appropriately,organize classroom activities appropriately;(3)Give guidance to students on how to improve the reasoning ability ina familiar environment;(4)Pay attention to penetration of plausible reasoning in each chapter.At the same time,some suggestions are given to the students:(1)Organize the preview effectively by induction,analogy,guess,etc;(2)Use reasoning consciously in learning concepts or solving problems;(3)Give full attention to the feedback of learning results,adjust ideas and methods immediately to study;(4)Pay attention to the accumulation of the problem which can be solved by reasoning.Advice to students,of course,need teachers gradually permeate in the daily teaching.
