In recent years,our country has paid more and more attention to the cultivation of technical talents and compound innovative talents.The international STEM education concept has increasingly permeated the curriculum design and teaching reform,and also brought new thinking and inspiration for the education reform of our country.STEM education combines many disciplines,students acquire knowledge process and methods system and diversification,which is beneficial to the cultivation of logical thinking ability,innovation and practical ability.This paper mainly discusses the teaching model of the integration of high school chemistry and STEM concept and the investigation and practice research.Through the analysis of the background of China’s education reform and education policy and the current research status of STEM education at home and abroad,it is clear that STEM education has a promoting role in developing students’ scientific inquiry,creative thinking,practical practice and so on,which is beneficial to the development of students’ core literacy,and the use of interview and questionnaire survey methods to understand the practice.The STEM literacy level of the school students and the implementation of the integration of STEM education in the school chemistry teaching;based on the constructivist learning theory,cognitive structure learning theory and so on,draw on the interdisciplinary teaching model:5E teaching and project type learning,combine the high school students’ knowledge structure and cognitive characteristics,design the integration of STEM chemistry teaching model,that is to say,Setting up situations-posing problems-a preliminary plan-knowledge integration-in-depth exploration-Communication and discussion,and teaching design and Implementation Research Based on this model.The practical study shows that the experimental class is superior to the control class in the degree of firm knowledge,the flexibility of the application,the degree of rigor of the design,the accuracy of the experiment and the degree of innovation of the thinking.It shows that the fusion of STEM chemistry teaching model is feasible and not only improves the students’ enthusiasm for learning chemistry.It has also promoted the study of related disciplines and related knowledge,expanded the students’ vision,and increased the students’ understanding of engineering and technology,and trained the sense of social responsibility.The model involves a variety of teaching methods,promoting the diversification of theevaluation method,paying attention to the process,making the evaluation of the students more impartial and objective,which is beneficial to the healthy development of the students.
