| STEM education originated from the explosion of science and technology in the United States.Nowadays,the development of STEM education has become a hot topic.STEM education emphasizes a kind of integrated education,which uses the creation of situation to lead to the integration of multi-disciplinary knowledge,such as problem-based learning,project-based learning,and engineering design learning..On this paper,we studied the practice situations of STEM education,and on this basis we explored the teaching design of chemical education of middle school,to provide a reference about the integration of STEM education concept integrating into classroom for secondary education.This paper mainly starts from the following aspects:First of all,the research background and significance of this paper are clarified,the purpose and method of this thesis are put forwarded,and the related research both at home and abroad are presented.Secondly,we summarizes the international research status of STEM education.Based on the concept of STEM education and the relations-hip between STEM education and scientific literacy,this paper summarizes the function,relationship and functions of various elements in STEM education,and inquires into different types of STEM education.To reveal the research and development trend of STEM education.Then,we designed five teaching designs based on the idea of STEM education.As follows,“Making A Mirror-Silver Mirror Response”,“Preparation of Soap”,“Simple Production of Water Purifier”,“Electrochemical Corrosion and Protection of Metals”,“Extraction of bromoiodine”.Taking“Making A Mirror-Silver Mirror Response”as an example,teaching practice was carried out in a school in Zhangzhou.This paper investigates the STEM literacy of students,design ability and final classroom results from several aspects of “questionnaire and data analysis”,“classroom practice and data analysis”,“classroom evaluation and data analysis”,“after-class questionnaire and data analysis”.Finally,we summariz-ed the above,and the drawback of this study.The research in this paper reveals that:(1)Carring out the teaching mode based on STEM education helps students to arouse learning interest,and acquire knowledge in practice,which embodys the idea of “doing middle school”.(2)From the development of the two small classes,it indicates that the ability of practical operation of girls is lower than that of boy,however,the ability of boys to communicate and cooperate is weaker than that of girl.but all above reaches the level of conformity.(3)Adopting the classroom evaluation mode that making students have quantitative criteria for their performance in class,which help them to maintain their advantages,correct their shortcomings,make themselves better and improve their learning ability in the next class. |
