Research On The Problems And Countermeasures Of College Students' Ideological And Political Education

President Xi Jinping pointed out in depth at the National University Ideological and Political Conference: “The ideological and political work is fundamentally a job communicating with people.It must focus on students,care for students,and serve students,thus continuously improve students' ideological level,political awareness,moral quality,and cultural literacy,eventually enabling students to become talents with both ability and virtue,talents developing in a comprehensive way.” As the main object of the ideological and political educating activities in colleges and universities,college students' ideological consciousness and political quality will directly affect the future development of the country and the nation.This determines that exploring methods,strengthening the pertinency,and improving the effectivity of ideological and political education for college students has become the unrelenting pursuit of related works in colleges and universities.With the rapid progress of society,the ideological and political education for college students in the new era has formed a series of effective working models.Nevertheless during the period of social transformation,the uncertainties caused by the changes in the economic structure,cultural patterns,values,and other factors,bringing many novel challenges to the work.It is mainly reflected in the team standing on the front line of education,the carrier,the environment,and college students themselves,etc.Therefore,in the face of opportunities and challenges,we should examine more carefully of existing problems and find out ways to solve them,so as to effectively resolve the difficulties brought about by the complex social environment.This paper uses the four elements of ideological and political education: subject,object,mediator and environment,as its logical support.Through visiting and inquiring the relevant authorities of colleges and universities,holding symposia with the education team,and conducting questionnaire surveys for university students,the current situation has been grasped.After collating and analyzing the information and data of all parties,the paper has summarized the main performances of the four elements mentioned above,identified the existing problems,concluded the causes,and further discussed ways of optimization.Through this paper,I look forward to innovating the methods,enriching thetheoretical results,and enhancing the timeliness of ideological and political education for college students.Ultimately,in the hope of every college student can become a qualified builder and a reliable successor of China's socialistic career.
