A Study Of The Ethnic College Students' Ideology & Behavior And The Relevant Measures In Their Ideological And Political Education

Contemporary college students of ethnic groups are the core forces for the development of the regions inhabited by ethnic groups, and their ideological and political qualities are of great importance for the regions' development, the stability of China, socialist modernization and the building up of a society of relative affluence, as well as the revitalization of Chinese nation.Compared to other college students in China, college students of ethnic groups have their own specific characteristics as regards to their basic qualities, thinking modes, behavior, habits, and the like Inasmuch they are a special group, their ideological and political education must be undertaken in accordance with the characteristics of their thinking and behavior;thus effective remedies can be found.This thes intends to probe into the characteristics of the thinking and behavior of contemporary college students of ethnic groups, based on which, are elaborated some new ideas on enhancing the ideological and political education of the college students of ethnic groups. The whole paper is divided into four chapters. The first chapter is an introduction, which deals with the reasons for the choice of this topic, the significance as well as the approaches used in this study. Based on questionnaires the second chapter analyzes ten characteristics of the thinking and behavior of the contemporary college students of ethnic groups, The third chapter analyzes some major factors such as the social and economic conditions, living conditions, mass communication and the like which exert influence on college students of ethnic groups. On the basis of the discussion in the second and the third chapter, the fourth chapter puts forward some measures for the ideological and political education that is in accordance with the characteristics of the thinking and behavior of the college students of ethnic groups.
