Research On Current Situation And Countermeasures Of Development Of Competitive Sports For The Disabled In Henan Province

At the Beijing Paralympic Games,the People's Republic of China has let people around the world see China's determination to develop sports for the handicapped.China's disabled sports can achieve such great achievements without the joint efforts of provincial and municipal governments and athletes.The starting point of sports for the handicapped is relatively low in Henan Province.Since the beginning of the 21 st century,the development of competitive sports for the handicapped has only been affected by the economy and education.The development is not satisfactory.After reviewing the history of the development of sports for handicapped people in Henan Province,it is not difficult to find that the disabled sports in our province had a brilliant time,and left an indelible mark on the history of sports for the disabled in China.Through statistics on the achievements of athletes of our province participating in major events at home and abroad in the past ten years,it can be clearly seen that the overall level of disabled sports in Henan Province has fallen to the lowest point in history,and the development situation is not optimistic.Based on the field survey of the status quo of competitive sports in handicapped people in Henan Province,this paper finds out the main problems through literature research,expert interviews,and questionnaire surveys,and proposes countermeasures against existing problems in Henan Province.The main findings are as follows:First,the Henan Province disabled sports have made remarkable achievements.The strength of disabled sports in our province has experienced a wave-like decline in the past decade.The development situation is not optimistic.Second,the management system of the disabled sports in Henan Province is lack of specialization,and there is a serious shortage of management personnel,and there is a lack of specialized disabled sports management institutions.Third,in Henan Province,there is a serious shortage of funds for competitive sports,training equipment is poor,and there is a lack of barrier-free facilities for disabled people in venues.Fourth,the development of disabled sports in Henan Province has limitations.There are few competition projects,and there are only a few advantage projects.There is a big gap between the potential advantage projects and the national level.The development of collective projects is slow.Fifth,the age structure of the coaches of the disabled sports team in Henan Province is not reasonable,and most coaches lack the opportunity for job training and are not conducive to the long-term development of the training team.Sixth,the majority of athletes in Henan Province's handicapped sports teams have a low level of education.At the same time,the number of years of training is not long,there is a lack of competition opportunities,and retired athletes lack job placement measures and policies.After investigation,it was found that the current problems in Henan's competitive sports include: the structure of management organizations is ambiguous;there are few high-level games,the level of social attention is too low,the development of sports projects is uneven,the source of funds is too single,and there is a serious shortage of venue equipment.The countermeasures for the problems existing in the disabled sports in Henan Province are proposed: increase the number of management personnel,improve the sports organizations for the handicapped;draw on the experience of sports provinces with disabilities,and strengthen the exchange of sports for disabled persons;scientific planning of future development roads,optimization of the disability sports project layout;introduction of commercial mechanisms to expand the sources of disabled sports funding sources;cooperation with schools and enterprises to optimize the disability sports training venue configuration.
