This thesis aims to study the impact of implementing high school entrance physical examination reform on middle school physical education in Gansu province.By conducting the in-depth analysis of causes of the impact and discussing the current middle school physical education situation and its existing problems,the thesis explains whether middle school physical education merely serves for high school entrance physical examination,and whether the overall development for middle school students and the cultivation of lifelong sports consciousness and habits have been ignored.Thus,this thesis provides several reasonable and practical suggestions for promoting the development of middle school physical education reform in Gansu Province.Adopting methods as documentation method,questionnaire survey,mathematical statistics as well,the thesis conducts a comparative analysis on the current high school entrance physical examination system in Gansu Province and that of other domestic cities and elaborates the examination methods,contents and scoring methods before and after the reform in Gansu Province.Most importantly,the thesis analyzes the impacts of implementing physical education reform on all aspects of middle school physical education through field survey.Ultimately,it draws the following conclusions:First,the full score of high school entrance physical examination in Gansu Province is the same as in most other districts of China.If only gives students a final score without doing process evaluation.The biggest difference of it is to list Carrying the Football Round the Pole on exam items for both male and female students.Second,the high school entrance physical examination reform in Gansu Province has improved the social status of PE teachers yet increased their working pressure compared with that before the reform.Third,the high school entrance physical examination reform in Gansu Province has aroused the enthusiasm of students to participate in physical exercise andimproved their attitude towards physical education.Fourth,the high school entrance physical examination reform has an obvious impact on both teaching aim and teaching contents of middle school physical education.The teaching aim and contents are more inclined to serve high-school entrance physical examination after the reform.Fifth,the high school entrance physical examination reform in Gansu Province has improved discipline status in school and more attention is paid on physical education by school.Moreover,the teaching environment of physical education has been improved.Sixth,after the reform,the overwhelming majority of schools are paying more attention to the supervision of physical class teaching and after-class physical exercises,which guarantees that students have enough physical training.However,problems have emerged with insufficient physical education teachers and teacher's unbalanced professional skills. |
