Biology is a basic discipline in the natural sciences.Experiments are the basis of biology and an important part of the biology curriculum.Biology experiments can not only allow students to consolidate biological knowledge,train experimental skills,but also stimulate learning interest,foster innovation,and unite and cooperate spirits and so on.In 2017,the Ministry of Education promulgated the new "General High School Biology Curriculum Standards",proposing that experimental teaching is an important support for students to achieve the core literacy of biological disciplines.It shows that in the biology teaching of high school,it is necessary to train students’ scientific thinking,so that students get development,we should pay attention to experimental teaching,and we should improve the effectiveness of biological experiment teaching.The study first sorts out the relevant literature data on the effectiveness of biological experiment teaching and experimental teaching,and then analyzes the current status of domestic and foreign related research.Afterwards,documentary method,questionnaire surveys,interviews,classroom observations,and case analysis methods were used to conduct questionnaires for 232 high school students in their schools from the three dimensions of pre-trial preparation,experiment implementation,and post-experimental evaluation.Nine biological teachers and one lab administrator were interviewed.In-depth classroom observation was conducted on one of the teacher’s experiment classes to understand the current state of biology experiment teaching in the school.After analyzing and combing the status quo,the following factors are found to affect the effectiveness of high school biology experiment teaching: 1.The preparation stage of the experiment:(1)The experimental facilities and materials cannot meet the requirements of the experiment.(2)The consciousness of students participating in the experiment preparation is not strong(3)Teachers’ teaching design is not optimized.2.The implementation phase of the experiment:(1)The experimental teaching method is simple(2)The experimental classroomorganization is not in place.3.The evaluation phase of the experiment-the evaluation method is simple.In the light of the problems above,in order to further improve the effectiveness of biological experiment teaching,the corresponding countermeasures proposed in this study are:1.The preparation phase of the experiment:(1)Using existing resources,improving experiments according to local conditions(2)Focusing on students,preparing for group participation in experiments(3)Optimizing instructional design 2.The implementation phase of the experiment:(1)Adopt different teaching methods for different types of experiments(2)Reasonably organize experimental teaching and optimize experimental teaching atmosphere 3.The evaluation phase of the experiment:(1)enrich the evaluation subject(2)enrich the evaluation content(3)change the evaluation method.After the above measures were implemented in the teaching,the following conclusions were mainly drawn: 1.By increasing the opening of the experiment,students’ participation is promoted.2.The students are provided with a variety of teaching methods to promote students’ real understanding of knowledge.3.The multi-directional evaluation and reflection promote the emotional experience among students.It is true that there are still some deficiencies in the implementation of the proposed countermeasures,with a view to improving them in later teaching.
